I gotta say, I had a blast as the spotlit person last week. I was asked some amazing questions, and had a great chance to share bits of myself with you all.

Now it's my turn. The person I'm shining the spotlight on for this week is someone who has been a dear to everyone on the boards.

HUGGLES! Danielle, I'm going to start the ball rolling with these questions:

~How did Tipsy and Cedar get their names?
~Have you always lived in Australia?
~What do you do on your down-time/relaxing time?
~What do you do for a living?

Have fun, girl. It's all about YOU!!!!

Best-
Michele

Yay Danielle! Congratulations!
Wow today is certainly your day, isn't it?

Okay questions, questions. Um...

1. If you could do anything (as a career, as a hobby, etc) what would you do?
2. What are you looking forward to this year? What are you dreading?
3. Where would you like to visit for a vacation? Where would you like to live, or are you happy living where you are now?
4. What's your favorite chocolate/sweet?
5. This was one that I had during my spotlight that I struggled with: If you had dinner with 5 people, past or present (famous or other) who would they be and why?

That's it for now... have a great week!

WOW! You are a busy gal this week! Congrats!
Here's what I want to know:

When did you learn to play tennis? and do you prefer singles or doubles?

Do you rush the net?

Since this is such a busy week for you, if you could have 48 hrs in a day, what would you be doing the other 24?

What is your favorite place in Australia?

Leighton Hewitt or Bryan Brown?

HUGGLES! Danielle, I'm going to start the ball rolling with these questions:
as I said to you Michele - she is a cheeky girl!!! Michele messaged me about this and I told her that I think I had already been chosen to do this but I couldnt remember
I pm'd a few other members who either said no or couldnt remember either... we did a search and couldnt find anything - lost in the crash? I dont know - very embarassing that i cant remember - maybe I wasnt chosen....

so thankyou Michele for giving me the honour this week

~How did Tipsy and Cedar get their names?
growing up my family always had pets with alcoholic names
I am sure it wasnt on purpose to start with but in the end I know it was and we used to laugh about it - we had cats called scotch, tequila, brandy to name a few. I had always wanted to continue that tradition... and so Tipsy was named

however...
when Cedar came home I decided I no longer wanted to continue with this tradition and such making Cedar harder to name.... After about 4 days of him being called 'little boy' we chose Cedar - we live in a cedarwood house with cedarwood trees around us - it just seemed to fit.

~Have you always lived in Australia?
well yes and no.
My 'family' have always lived here but I have travelled the world alot backpacking. The places that I consider I really lived in (ie: not staying in backpackers and staying for a decent amount of time) was when I was an exchange student to the USA when I was 18 and when I was worked in Amsterdam for 6 months a few years back.

~What do you do on your down-time/relaxing time?
gosh I am not sure if I have much of that time

but when I do - reading, sketching, playing with the boys, catching up with friends, going to see bands, doing cross stitch..

~What do you do for a living?
I am an architect/ builder/ draftsperson and have my own business although this business is still a work in progress but it certainly keeps me extremley busy.

Have fun, girl. It's all about YOU!!!!

Best-
Michele
THANKYOU

Hi Ariana
- here are my answers

1. If you could do anything (as a career, as a hobby, etc) what would you do?
well I would love to design a building that made everyone stop and take notice

or I would love to publish a book or play hockey (field) for australia
ahhh we can all dream cant we!!

2. What are you looking forward to this year? What are you dreading?
I am looking forward to expanding on my knowledge within my career. I have been thrown a good opportunity with another architect and I am looking forward to getting as much out of that as I can and hopefully being able to pass on some of my own knowledge as well
dreading? the winter?
I dont dread much - I believe if your dreading something then your not happy with your life... I am happy!

3. Where would you like to visit for a vacation? Where would you like to live, or are you happy living where you are now?
I am very happy living where I am now, I wouldnt want to live anywhere else.
However going to visit places is a whole other story.
I would love to go to Canada, South Africa, Zimbabwe or Madagascar - but this list changes all the time.
My dream once was to visit every single country in the world...

4. What's your favorite chocolate/sweet?
can not beat cadburys dairy milk chocolate or original tim tams

5. This was one that I had during my spotlight that I struggled with: If you had dinner with 5 people, past or present (famous or other) who would they be and why?
1. Frank Lloyd Wright (architect)
2. Antonio Gaudi (architect)
3. Sting
4. My mothers father who died before I was born
5. My best friend who died when we were 17

That's it for now... have a great week!
thankyou

Hi Sarah
here are my answers

1. What is your favourite way to chill out?
favourite way? a good book, a glass of wine and lots of sun....

2. Which countries have you visited? Which was your favourite?
you want the whole list?

UK, USA, Canada, NZ, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Belguim, Netherlands, Germany, Hungry, Czech Republic, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark and Sweden
(i think thats all
)

my favourite without a doubt was Egypt - I spent 3 months there and love it so very much - I just love the architecture - wow!!! and the people - some of them have nothing at all but they are the happiest people I have ever met.

I would love one day to go and write my thesis on egyptian architecture.

3. What is your oldes piece of clothing that you still wear?
hahaha hmmmmm the oldest? gosh I guess this t-shirt that I bought in the USA in '93 - its my gardening shirt - it has stains and holes in it
I just love that t-shirt!

4. Do you prefer living in the country or the city?
I am most certainly a city girl!!!

5. Do you do any sport? If so, which sports?
at the moment no - I wish I did though - I would love to start playing hockey again... I do workout everyday - does that count?

6. What is the name of your oldest/best friend? How long have you known them?
my oldest/best friend well I have 3 best friends and one of them just happens to be the one I have known all my life - Catriona and I 'met' when our sisters started school together - we were a mere 2 years old - and 28 years later we are still extremley close

Hi Susan

1.Being an architect, do you have your dream house in your head?.
in my head? oh its on paper Susan - although it has changed to many times to count - I hope one day I get to build it

2.Who's the one to say sorry first if you and Chris have fallen out?.
I think both equal - it was always like this - I used to NEVER apologise - you see I was NEVER wrong!!!
I worked on that though

3.Knickers or thongs!

knickers - I can not stand those thongs!! I mean seriously... dont get me started!!!

4.If you could go back in time to do something all again only better what would it be?
wow great question.... hmmmm....
the one thing I would want to go back and change was when I was 17 - lets just say my best friend died when we were 17 - I wish I could go back to that night, knowing what I do now and never ever get on that motorbike...

Hi Alexis

What makes you laugh out loud - is it 'slapstick' or observational humour or jokes or 'none of the above'
people making idiots of themselves
I just cant help but laugh at that - is that slapstick humour?

Hi E

When did you learn to play tennis? and do you prefer singles or doubles?

in high school - I really am not that good at it
I played in a few tornaments when I was younger but thought it best not to take it to seriously!!

Do you rush the net?

haha yes!!! anything to look like I know what I am doing

Since this is such a busy week for you, if you could have 48 hrs in a day, what would you be doing the other 24?

wow - unfortunatly probably working
there is never enough hours in the day - but forgetting that I have to work - if I had an extra 24 hours in a day I would use it spending time with my DH and my friends - we never do have enough time for those that are important to us it seems.

What is your favorite place in Australia?

where we live - seriously I just love it so much here!!
but other than where we live - I would say the ocean - nothing better than the ocean!!

Leighton Hewitt or Bryan Brown?

can you give me a third choice??????
