Hi everyone,
Well, Epoinine and I moved into our new place this weekend. I plugged the Feliway Comfort Zone into my bedroom a couple of hours before bringing her home. Of couse, she immediately ran under the bed. But, after about only 20 minutes, she was exploring the entire apartment! Two days later, she is still running all over, marking everything with her face and having a blast playing "hide and seek" among all the moving boxes.
I can truly say that I have never seen Eppie happier or more relaxed. Feliway is WONDERFUL.
If you've been sitting on the fence about whether or not to invest in it, give it a shot- you will most likely be as thrilled as I am!

It is a synthethic pheremone that calms cats. It comes in a spray and a plug in you can read about it at www.biovet.com

It is wonderful stuff.

I used it when I moved a couple of years ago - I used the spray all around my apartment, and installed a plug-in in the room in the house I moved in to that would be the 'cat room' until my cats adjusted to hubby's cat. Using the spray in the apartment while I packed helped keep them calm, and (a miracle!) stopped Felixia from peeing on my bed.
(turned out the bed-peeing was anxiety-related).

The diffuser not only kept them calm in the new house, but stopped the squabbling between Felixia and the other 2 that had been going on for a couple of years. I can't say enough good things about Feliway.

Just wanted to say to those who are Feliway converts or interested in converting, there's a sale on Petco.com and it looks to be a great deal. I'm not sure if it's just for the online store or is the actual store but either way, if I had a bit of extra cash, I would be stocking up!

Now if only they would make a human version...sales for Prozac, Lithium and Ritalin would plummet!

The Feliway plug ins can be pricey, but the way I look at it is, I'm saving so much more money by not having to replace rugs, carpets, couches, chairs, bedding, and ductwork!
