well, i'm back. i was registered awhile ago but have had some family issues and haven't been back for quite some time. i'll fill you in on the saga, but i'll use the short version. we got a kitten from the shelter last year who was plagued with health problems, which we believe to have been fip and she was deaf. we did all we could but it was no use and we did what we had to do and ended her suffering. now the happy news. we got another kitty from another shelter. and she is a joy to us all. it only took a few days for her to get adjusted to us and us to her. now she is beating up the dog and biting our toes under the blankets as we try to sleep. i enjoyed coming to this site and asking all my questions. everyone was so understanding and helpful. that is why i am back. i hope to find out more about cats, as the first cat was our first cat and i found out soo much then about sick cats. so far, betty is healthy and we are keeping her that way. i hope to find more ways to make her life fun. thanks and hope to type again real soon.
