Jakes interpreter at school asked him to help her get rid of a lot of toys she has in her house - she wants to stop being a pack rat. Jake readily accepted the challenge to sell those toys over eBay.

He brought home about 6 big boxes worth of:
Beanie Babies
Teenie Beanie Babies
McDonalds Toys

After doing searches online, I don't think theres much value to those toys anymore.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do??????

Wow, Kellye, you've suddenly acquired alot of...stuff! Are these Beany Babies any of the collectible ones? Are they in good condition? You could donate them to The Salvation Army, or is there a place in your area like My Sister's House? A lot of women and children go there with practically nothing. How about a hurricane relief in your area or something like that. I see some places even collecting for the Tsunami relief. I'm sure some of those children left with nothing would enjoy these toys. If none of this seems appealing, you can always have a yardsale and let Jake help and keep part of the profit!

Those mc donalds toys average 5$ per if still in wrappers I saw on tv recently. There are collectors for all of those items you mentioned, hang onto them until you find the proper market and value.

I like your idea, I will ask Jake to ask the interpreter if she would accept that - after all, her husband is a pastor and she has a heart of gold - I don't see anything wrong with that.

All of the beanie babies are in great condition, there is only one of value and it is $175.00.

Cirque - the mcd's toys are still in their original wrappers - her son used to work there and so brought them home. Way too many, I say.

Kellye:

If you aren't looking to make any money, you could just donate the stuff to a local elementary school. Many times, teachers have 'treasure boxes' in their classrooms and would love the stock!

When my son was in kindergarten, the teacher asked parents for donations for the treasure box. I used to clean out Anthony's 'junk drawer' full of McDonald's toys while he was sleeping. He never missed them and sometimes came home with something I had given away! He never even knew the difference!
