Our baby kitty Biko sprained her right hind paw a week ago, and she has been out of sorts ever since. The vet gave me some "pain killer" stuff that I shot into Biko's mouth, but that seemed to cause Biko to vomit, so I have stopped using that (the vet agrees that it's a good idea), but Biko still seems very "different," not in pain, so far as I can see, but she seems to be making a slower recovery than I would have imagined. The vet said that it could take up to ten days before Biko is back to being her usual rambunctious self. She's still adorable, though, as always

He probably wouldn't let you know if he was in pain. I would try and keep him in one room, and not get too active (though I know only too well how hard that is with a kitten), and I am sure he will be better soon.
