Well I was up with Meish until 4 and then when I did sleep it was so light that when she moved around it woke me up. *sigh*

No vomiting, no bm over night... no pee for that matter as well and I know she's been drinking water.

She is alert this morning. Up wandering around. She hasn't eaten since 2 pm yesterday so she is HUNGRY! She keeps yelling at me to feed her and now she went into the computer room with a sad meow and is pouting when all I did was give her fresh water. She was just sitting on her cat shelf rubbing her face against her food bag.

How early is too early to call this vet? I called him 3-4 times yesterday and I don't want to annoy him on his 'weekend off'. I'm so upset.

I can't blame you for being upset - I'd be worried sick, too. I really hope everything is just fine with her.

Oh I hear Meish digging to china in her litter box. I hope there is a big stinky turd in there! (fingers crossed all...) I usually give her her time... she gets embarassed if she is caught in the box.... LOL

Never been so happy to see cat stool.
Meish Peed and POOPED but I didn't see anything ribbon in her stool... yes I checked well and I'll leave it at that to avoid grossing members out.

SO I just called the vet on call to talk to him and he said that since the material isn't digestable I shouldn't worry about toxicity in her system and it could very well take another 24 hours to pass out something like this. He said since she hasn't been vomiting and drank well without any problems that around lunch time I should give her a little to eat, about 1/4 of normal (which is hard since I free feed her lol) so I will give her a few kibble at a time to see how she holds it down... or maybe treat her to a little canned tuna? I don't give it to her often but maybe she deserves a little treat.... then again she hasn't eaten so she needs her healthy cat food.

" And this too soon shall pass".
(I hope)

We currently have Meishka on Oral Care from Science Diet. She's so finicky that we are worrysome about changing her foods. She loves chomping down on the large pellets.

Too bad she can't have any for another hour... man I feel like Mommy Dearest!

What a relief - there's probably no blockage. I'd probably give her the tuna, since she's had to go without food. It doesn't hurt if it's only fed occasionally, provided it's water-packed, and not too salty.

I gave her some dry kibble around 1130 and she held it down so I gave her a little more at 1. I think she's gonna have a little tuna for dinner, plus the extra moisture will do her good.... I'll add some metamucil in there too.

I WILL MAKE HER POOP.

I have a sad mission in life. LOL

Thanks everyone for listening last night. I was worried and being home alone I only had the cat folk to turn to! Thank goodness for this site. I would have lost my mind.

I think my cat likes making me stress so I get pimples... like she has.

Hey ya'll. I just wanted to upday and let people know that Meish just passed the ribbon. I'm not going to measure it but there was A LOT. She's getting some tuna for a treat.

Thanks everyone for your help and vibes. This would have been much more stressful if I didn't have everyone here to help keep me sane.

I have to laugh - all of us anxiously waiting for a little cat to excrete, and she has no idea of the worry and relief she has caused! I'm glad to hear that the ribbon is out!
