I took in a Mama cat and her baby last summer. They adjusted well (somewhat slowly - but well). The new ones quickly took over spots on the bed where my existing kitties usually slept. I felt sorry for them. After time, George got tired of not being on the bed and came back. Lizbeth also used to sleep at Daddy's feet but had not done so since Mama took over her spot on the bed. The night before last I woke up and Lizbeth was curled up back to back next to Mama - both sleeping away at Daddy's feet. George was curled up next to mine.
This morning I nearly had a heart attack because I got some treats out in the kitchen and everyone gathered. McKenzie started licking Mama on the head
I looked at my DH and said "Did you see that?!!" He said "yep"
He said they probably do that all day when we are at work. Somehow I doubt it.
Looks like they are going to be accepted after all . That make this Meowmy pretty happy.
