When I was 12, my dad let me get my first cat. She was a beautiful calico, whom I named Buscuit. My mother taught her to fetch. SHe was wonderful!!! We couldnt keep her for some reason, so she ended up with my Cousin. My cousin has had her all this time. This summer, she would have been 15.

I just got a call from my cousin saying that a loose Rottweiler attacked my Buscuit. She's gone!!!!!!! My baby is gone!! I am so incredibly devastated!!! I'm on my way over there to say goodbye. This wasnt supposed to happen!!!

I love you buscuit!!!!!

I am so so so very sorry!!!! How how awful. I feel terribly devastated for you, and I hope it was a quick turn and that she did not suffer. There is nothing I can say right now to make it any easier, but we are sending prayers so very fast to you and your family this afternoon. We have you in your thoughts and feel so very deeply for you.
Love,
Elizabeth, Eric, Sasha & Saba.

I'm so sorry. How tragic. It's really, really, hard to take when you don't get to say goodbye.

As it turned out, it happened to be 2 dogs, a rott and a shepherd mix. They attacked her on the front porch of my cousins house while she was SLEEPING!!! My cousin's sister in law happened to look out the window when it happened, and when she flung open the door, the dogs dropped her and fled. Buscuit died within seconds of being dropped.

Evidently, the dogs belong to two transients that live off of the railroad tracks nearby. Animal control was phoned, and they left a message with them. They also called the local sherrif, and they are going to come and investigate the situation.

This is all so horrible...

I did get to say goodbye to her though, which made me feel a bit better.

I am so sorry that you and your cousin are having to cope with such a violent death. I'm glad you don't think that Biscuit suffered any. I am so very, very sorry.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I feel for that sleeping kitty and I am glad to hear you were able to say goodbye to her. I know she was loved and she knew it, all cats know these things. She is in a better place now and has a ton of new friends to play with. I hope those dogs are taken care of somehow. It is not good to let dogs that kill cats just roam around.
I hope you can remember the good times you had with her fondly and take comfort in the thought she went quickly and had a good life. My condolences.

Loose dogs are such a danger. We have them here and I am always scared, so I keep the cats in at night when hte dogs roam. I am so sorry that this had to happen to a beloved cat.

Buscuit was buried today. I went over to my Cousin's and helped her husband bury her. My cousin just couldnt do it. With her, my cousin put a picture of her family, and near her little paws I put a little letter that I had written her. I stroked her paws and told her that I loved her.

I have closure.

This isnt goodbye...this is just see you later! See you later, Bisqi-Babe!

Buscuit rest in peace. I am devistated of the thought of what that poor kitty's fears were from those two dogs!

If they were loose it's possible the authorities may put them down as a result of being a threat to the community. Not that that will make anyone feel better, but, at least it may save someone else's kitty, or child, from those vicious dogs! I am heartly sorry for your horrendous loss! I'll say a prayer for you both!

I too just saw this, I am so sorry for you that you lost Biscuit. May she play happily at the bridge until you are reunited with her. Hugs
