The cats are well taken care of, and provided for.

Oh, I really wish I could have kept this guy. He was the sweetest thing!!! He turned his motor on any time you touched him, and was super friendly. I might call the shelter next week to find out how he is doing.
You know sweetie......it just might be destiny that this has happened. I was not expecting Saba. Absolutely not. I was not looking and we just recovered from thousands of dollars last year on medical bills for both Freddie's leukemia and Sasha's coyote mauling. But Saba just came into our lives. Something about it made me look twice. You just never know.

What a lucky kittie to have found YOU! You've done a beautiful thing by taking this sweet baby to have him taken care of. I'm sure he will be adopted out before you know it.

WTG! That was exactly the right thing to do. From your description, the cat sounds like a Turkish Van. That's a pretty rare breed, and he's sure to be adopted soon.

Well... I've been thinking about this little guy scince I brought him into the shelter. I called today to see how he is doing. As it turns out, he is a 7 month old Flame Point. He was tested for Leline Leukemia and Feline AIDS, and was NEGATIVE for both.
He was also microchipped and is with a foster family that is REALLY enjoying him. They say he is happy, loving and playful. He is going to be with the foster family untill either the 18th or 20th, and that I am welcome to come and see him when he is back at the shelter. He is also due to be neutered when he arrives back at the shelter. No one has named this sweet boy, and the owner told me that all of the cats in her shelter have all been given names of well known famous people, and that I am free to name him if I like. I'm trying to think of someone to name him after. Any suggestions?

I would really love to adopt this boy, but I dont have the 80 bucks to adopt him. Ah well... I'm just glad he is happy, and healthy and going to find a home sometime soon.

It is possible that kitty has a Van pattenr becuase his piebold gene active and not a Turkish Van. There are only about 10 TV breeders active in the US.

Sometimes folks with "van" patterned cats or even registered Turkish Vans, include the word "Van" in the name.

My two Turkish Vans are
Casper Van Goughst
Errisa Van Dearful ( as in Vonderfull)

I went to take Cam inside and asked if anyone knew anything about the cat. His teacher said that she noticed him there this morning, and that her assistant knew of a no-kill shelter in a nearby town.

SO.... I went outside, searched for the cat, took him home, fed him & gave him water, then took him to this shelter. The owner of the shelter took him and told me that they would neuter him, give him all his shots, check for Feline Leukemia and such, clean him up, and microchip him... then find him a home. I was also told that they would contact me when he was adopted!!

I SOOO wish I could have kept this little angel... but right now, with my financial situation, It's best I only have one cat. I'm also not so sure how Dinah would react.

I feel really good about what I have done.
White cat with blue eyes and red ears-he sounds like a flame or cream point cat. I love pointed cats, I got one myself.
They are so cute. Was he also fluffy? Or short hair?
