Today, I took my son Cameron to school, and as soon as I got out of the car, this sweet little long white haired cat with orange ears and tail & blue eyes came out of the bushes to meow at me. He was very dirty, had a scratch near his eye, no collar, not neutered, and looked as if he had diahrea. He was SO CUTE and sweet!!! I went to take Cam inside and asked if anyone knew anything about the cat. His teacher said that she noticed him there this morning, and that her assistant knew of a no-kill shelter in a nearby town.

SO.... I went outside, searched for the cat, took him home, fed him & gave him water, then took him to this shelter. The owner of the shelter took him and told me that they would neuter him, give him all his shots, check for Feline Leukemia and such, clean him up, and microchip him... then find him a home. I was also told that they would contact me when he was adopted!!

I SOOO wish I could have kept this little angel... but right now, with my financial situation, It's best I only have one cat. I'm also not so sure how Dinah would react.

I feel really good about what I have done.

That is such a wonderful thing to do. Maybe you have set in place a positive chain of events. You took such positive action... .my father used to always say PACE PACE PACE: Postive Action Changes Everything.
Even small steps such as yours and a guiding hand.

I really hope he finds a home soon. He will stay at the shelter untill he either gets adopted, or dies first. The owner was telling me that some of the cats there have been there for 3 years or so.. because they arent as 'adoptable' as the rest. It's not entirely a sad story though. The cats are well taken care of, and provided for.

Oh, I really wish I could have kept this guy. He was the sweetest thing!!! He turned his motor on any time you touched him, and was super friendly. I might call the shelter next week to find out how he is doing.

Bless you!
And THANK GOD that the kitty found you and YOU found a No Kill shelter!

BTW, the 1st cat my family had was supossed to be named Dinah. I was too young to pronounce her name, so we called her Ninah.
