Found your site today, looking for some information on dealing with loss and also finding new food.

My husband and I lost one of our kitty boys to lymphoma yesterday. He was very young (only 1 1/2), and I'm trying to find ways to make sure that our remaining guys stay healthy, including giving them a better diet. I've seen lots of tips already. Here are some pictures of my guys:

Fergus, aka "King Cat." Ferg was a stray who was sitting in my front yard when I got home from work one night about 3 years ago. I called to him and he ran up the stairs and into the house, and hasn't left since.

Baby was a rescue kitty, who cried plaintively as we walked past his cage on day last summer. I asked to see him, and he collapsed onto my shoulder, as if to say "get me outta here!" He was one sick kitty (he sneezed for weeks), but he's a tough guy and pulled through.

Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter left us yesterday. We'd had him for just a little over a year. His brothers and parents miss him very much.

This is a long introduction, but I'm so happy to have found a place to share and get information about the cats.

Welcome to the site Jenn!

I'm terribly sorry for the tremendous loss you are facing right now. If you haven't already seen it, look at the post The Rainbow Bridge in the Crossing the Bridge forum. It's a great comfort. I know that I believe in The Rainbow Bridge with all of my heart, and your beautiful Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter is there now, whole and healthy.

Fergus and Baby are just gorgeous kitties! It's always neat when they choose you as their person. Sounds like they chose very well.

Welcome to TCS ! I have to say firstly that I'm so sorry for the loss of your little one, I really don't know which one hurts the worse, young'uns or older ones, its just plain painful to deal with! But you still have some beautiful babies there, and I hope to see more of you and them around the site soon!

Thanks to all of you for your welcome and support about Nummy. It's still hard to believe that he was sleeping in our bed Tuesday morning, and gone just a couple of hours later. Once we've gotten over the shock of it all, I'll put a memorial in the Rainbow Bridge area. You kind words are very helpful. Hope to have some good stories to share with you soon.

Welcome to TCS, Jenn! I'm sorry you lost Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter so early... I hope you recover soon.
I know how hard it is to lose a furbaby. But may I say your other cats are lovely (especially Baby)! Post more pics of them, alright?
