Anyone elses cat get sudden bursts of energy and take off running through the house slamming into just about everything on the way??

Its warm her today so I have the windows open and Meishka is flipping out!!! She hasn't been this active all 'winter'. Its funny but I'm a little worried she'll hurt herself. She gets going so fast that she actually slams into doors, walls.... EVERYTHING!!!

Remember when Baylee used to slam into the coffee table? She just got a case of the zoomies and couldn't stop properly... maybe Meish needs to get her brakes examined also.

Yeah mine do, but they usually get that way either late at night or very early in the morning.

Miko and Kionu always do that.
Miko injured his back left leg a few years back so his "breaks" don't work that well. Since he can't break, he usually slams into the door or wall when he runs and makes a turn. Kionu on the other hand, does it on purpose. He'll walk to the kitchen, jump then run into the wall like he was trying to pounce on something. After he does it, he just walks away like nothing happened. He does the strangest things.

There's no place like home
Mine do that all the time and usually it's at least 2 of them and sometimes as many as 6 of them running all at the same time. I have a house with a lot of "figure 8's" between rooms. Their usual track is down the stairs to the hallway, thru the kitchen, into the living room, up across the recliner, up the cat tree, down the other side on top of the pool table in the family room, down on the floor, up the other cat tree in the family room, down again, back into the hall, into the dining room, into the kitchen, back into the hallway then up the stairs. *whew* I get tired just thinking about it!

Tiger and Ginger do it too. Ginger really didn't do it until Tiger came along. Now they always play and wrestle together. Tiger zooms around making little pigeon noises. We call him our little race car driver.

Pickles does that when he runs upstairs it sounds like he is running a derby, its especially funny when he sees himself in a mirror and scares himself, his tale blows up, he can be too funny.
