My vet recomended it to help with my boyfriends allergies to Chester, and I've read some pretty impressive things about it. I know that it wont get rid of the problem all together, but any decrease makes me happy.
He's one of those unfortunate people who learned through his moms psycho kitty and his allergies to dislike cats. I'm trying to convince him that not all kitties are bad, and he actually was the one who helped me pick out Chester. I think I'm getting through, but he hates to admit it.

Taking away some of the allergies would help.
Just curious if anyone had used it....I ordered it and will let you know if there are any results.

Hello! I'm wondering how Allerpet worked for you? I'm thinking of buying it for my cats for my boyfriend's allergies as we are getting serious and I don't particularly want to give the cats (or him!) up!

Oh, please do let me know. I've considered ordering it, too, to help between baths.

I've started taking Sheba to the groomer once a month, which helps a lot! She's the biggest allergen-producer in this household. I take Purdy, a long-hair about once every two months, though I took him today after six weeks since my step-daughter may come on Friday. Red Cat hasn't had a bath in two years. (The last time, the groomer told me never to bring him back, as he went ballistic and scratched her.) I'm thinking of taking him to the groomer I'm using now, though, as I think she is better prepared for a monster cat. He might need to be tranquilized first, though. Thankfully, he doesn't seem to produce as much allergens as the other two.

If your cat is young, get him used to regular baths now to help the allergy problem. Mine were all adults when I got them, and they don't take too kindly to baths.

I'm somewhat allergic to cats myself, but my step-daughter is highly allergic, so if the Allerpet works, it sure would be helpful.

The allerpet did decrease the symtoms, although didn't get rid of them all together for him. I would recomend trying it, as it's not too expensive and is worth a try. It doesn't leave a sent or even a feel to the coat, you wouldn't know it was there if it weren't for the fact that you applied it.
Hope you have some luck.

Is Allerpet C like Petal Cleanse/C?

I haven't heard of Allerpet, but I do use Petal Cleanse on my two when we are going to stay with my family (my sis is asthmatic and allergic to cats) This has worked really well and I have recommended it a lot of times to people who suffer from allergies! It worked wonders for my Sister!

It sounds a lot like Petal Cleanse/C, Sar.

Glad to hear it did help some, Sylorna. I just placed an online order for some, too. As it is, my eyes start getting itchy and burning by the end of the month before Sheba's next bath. Hopefully, now that I'm getting Sheba bathed so often, my stepdaughter won't have as severe a reaction with or without the Allerpet, but her eyes almost swelled shut from her reaction when she was here at Christmas time. Hopefully, this will help a little extra for those times she might come that aren't right after Sheba's bath.

I LOVE Allerpet/C.

Yes it works.  I am a lifelong asthmatic, triggered by cat dander...

Never allowed to have cats as a kid.    One October in 1999, a little 3 week old black kitten wandered into my yard.  /we bonded immediately. I dearly wanted to keep him  but came down with asthma within an hour of holding him.   My boss told me about Allerpet/C  that her vet told her about.  I got it the same day and started using it.

Well, 14 years later, I have 4 kitties of my own  and am a fostermom for kitties in our rescue group.   I use the Allerpet/c on all new kitties  for a bit til I stop reacting to them.   I'm still, and always will be asthmatic.  I just no longer react to kitties that I use the product on.  I wish more people would give it a chance rather than get rid of their cats.

It's a miracle product...
