I know, I know... but I'm just curious -

Anybody here (aside from me) ever tried their cat's food? Well, not exactly a whole tablespoon of it!

I've tried Nutro Chicken (kibble) and it tasted bland, while Fancy Feast's Ocean Whitefish & Tuna smells really great but tastes horrible (it was bitter!). I wonder why my cats love these stuff!!

So let me in on a secret, please!

I haven't, but my son tasted a dry kibble or two a couple of times. I don't remember what brands of food my son tasted, but I remember that he said the food was a little salty but not bad otherwise.

And I don't even want to think about eating cat food! (yuck)

I, when 5, ate Meow Mix. If I recall it was not too bad. Not too salty. I did think that my little brother's habit of eating dog food was gross, but cat kibble not so bad.

Well, I only tried a bit of a cat treat -- the Kitty Kaviar fish flakes. They were pretty good, actually.

I once tried "Gravy Train" a dog food.

Honestly I've wondered what cat food tastes like, but, NEVER would I try it!

No, my cats hate "commercial" cat food. Their wet food is also for human consumption. They tolerate the dry ones though but get tired of them easily. They've stuck to Friskies and Meow Mix longer than any other brand of cat dry food.

ewwww!!!!
i can't stand the smell of them! i can't believe you ate more after you tried it
i dont eat any seafood though, and hardly any meat, so i guess if you like seafood MAYBE it wouldn't be sooooo bad.
THIS THREAD IS HILARIOUS!!!!
i never tried any cat food. i dont even eat any fruit when i feed my sugar gliders and that is regular human fruit, i guess its just wierd because they eat it. i did try a nibble of a yoggie treat for ferrets. it was peanutbutter banana flavor and it wasn't bad, but i wouldn't eat it ever again!
