They are both so beautiful! I don't think I'd want to get up with those two cuddled up next to me!

Bijou was my dream cat - I've always wanted a lilac.
What is the difference from a Lilac-point and a Blue-cream point? I know it has to do with the coloring but I'm not sure what about the coloring is different?

I haven't a clue - that's just what the breeder told us.
They look very, very similar although I must say Mika has a lot more of the creamy coloured fur than Bijou. Bijou's back is actually turning quite dark in my opinion, but what do I know. Gayef is a Siamese breeder and may be able to give you more information than I.

All I know is that I get warm, fuzzy feelings every time I look at them or touch them or watch them together.
My heart goes pitty-pat!

If it doesn't, your family should buy you a box!
My God, they're gorgeous, Linda! Well, we knew that, of course, but that's also a lovely pic of them. Thanks for sharing.

Okay I had this huge discussion on a Ragdoll forum about the differences between coloring. Lilac is a dilute (lighter color) of Chocolate and Blue is a dilute of Seal.

So basically Lilac is a bit lighter than Blue. And I'm assuming Blue-Cream has both the blue and the cream colored together.

Granted I could be wrong, I get confused sometimes.

I get confused more often than sometimes, but I think you are probably right. I knew about Lilac/Chocolate and Blue/Seal, and Mika's points are darker than Bijou's but her body is lighter. Then again, she is about 6 months younger than Bijou so may yet darken.

He also goes outside and she doesn't and I've heard that if a Siamese cat goes outside their body will get darker.

I think it's less that a Siamese cat will darken if he goes outside and more that he will darken if he's exposed to, is it cold air?

I'm sure Mika wil get darker... how old is she? It's amazing to see a Ragdoll baby and then a Ragdoll at 2 years old... they look SO different colorwise!

My best friend has a ragdoll, and it is amazing how much he has changed since they got him as a kitten. He is gorgeous!

Mika is only 6 months I believe and yes I also think she will get darker. I remember my sealpoint many years ago and how different she looked as she got older and darker.

I cannot believe there are so many beautiful animals out there. Everyone on this site has a beautiful, unique cat (some have severallllllllll). It's such a pleasure to just sit and look through all the pictures. I used to feel guilty about wasting time, but now that I'm older, I'm quite content to waste as much as I want - I've paid my dues.

I'm so jealous of your friend that has the ragdoll! What color is he? One day I will have my Raggie.. though my boyfriend informed me it won't be for another decade! Ack!

Yes, I can imagine Mika getting darker if she's only 6 months old. She's gonna look so gorgeous, just like handsome Bijou!

And you're right, there are some gorgeous cats here! Although I'm not REALLY older, so I guess I should feel guilty about wasting time!

We got Bijou at 8 weeks (last April) and he will be 1 year old on February 4 (next week) and Mika came into our lives in early December (she's about 6 months old right now) when our daughter moved back home and brought Mika with her. We kept them separated for about 4 weeks while we were at work and only let them have supervised time together in the evenings. Bijou is a very laid-back cat tho so I'm sure that is part of the reason they get on so well. He will stand back and let Mika play if we are playing with both of them. He's got a wonderful disposition and we are pleasantly surprised.

Our friend's Ragdoll is a Bi-colour (he has a very dark face except for his triangle)

I don't know how much Ragdoll's are in your area, but I know she paid $750 for pet quality. Pretty expensive.

I think the cheapest I found was $500 but I didn't trust the breeder and it didn't include neutering.

Average price I found was about $650. And so if I save up $65 every year, in 10 years I can afford him!

Are there any Ragdoll rescues near you? Perhaps that would be a good place to check out.

Also, not sure if this is the norm, but her Ragdoll is really, really, really, shy with everyone except their daughter. He hardly even goes to my friend and when they have visitors he runs off and hides. That's the only thing I don't like because he's so beautiful I want to hold him but he won't let me near him.

There is one, but I can't look right now - my boyfriend has said two is quite enough, thank you very much. It'll make me sad to see a cute one that needs a home!

You know, I've talked to many people about their Ragdolls and I DON'T think that's the norm. As far as I can tell, most are outgoing and curious, not really a one-person cat. Maybe your friend's cat got adopted really young and saw the daughter as momma Or maybe he just saw the daughter as his mother just to begin with.
