I don't know where I'd seen this before but thought I'd pass it on here to the rest of you. This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't.

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so ....................... And there's nothing you can do about it!

I did it I did it I did it!!!!! But only once,, when i tried to do it again,,,well, ummm, my foot won. Thats like the thing that if you stand with your back and all of the back of your legs against a wall and bend over to pickup an object it is impossible to do with keeping your legs all the way against the wall supposedly.

I can't believe I just tried doing what you suggested. I thought I was going to topple over or something.

I shared this with other friends. A smart guy explained the science behind this coordination test. Here is his response.

It is because the left hemisphere of your brain (the one controlling the right side of your body) can only deal with 1 input at a time. This means that it processes information in a linear or sequential manner.

If you were to try this same trick using your left foot and your left hand, you will find that you have a little more success.... while it is still difficult to do, you will notice that it is easier. The reason for this is beause the right hemisphere of your brain can integrate many inputs at once. Unlike the left hemisphere, the right can process information more simultaneously.

Don't get discouraged with your left hemisphere. It is actually very useful for most people. This is in charge of all of your analytical and logical thinking. Since it processes information sequentially, it allows you to build logic to solve problems. For example, your left hemisphere sees: 1+14+721=? and can solve it: 736. Your right hemisphere on the other hand sees (not 2 dimensionally) +114=721+ and you cant possible make a correct answer out of that...well your odds are approximately 1:40,320. Your left hemisphere would be better at telling you that the answer is "A Number" because it is your intuitive side.

Cool, huh?

Which one did you do? No way, I don't believe it. Take a picture of yourself doing it and send it in.
