Hi all!

I would really like to start using WBCL in our home...problem is we are overseas and it is SO expensive on the economy, and to have my family ship it out to me is going to cost a LOT...so I was wondering how long does it last for? Like, Feline Pine claims that one bag lasts a month...so if you use WBCL, and scoop out the box a few times each day, how long between having to change the litter out? I am trying to figure out if it would be cost effective for me, regardless of the shipping costs. Thanks!!

I just changed it last week after 2 weeks of usage. It lasts a long time considering I have 3 cats. Another alternative is chicken feed. It's basically ground corn, which is what WBCL is. The color might be a little darker, but the consistency and results are the same. My parent's are trying chicken feed with their cats and it seems to be working so far. Hopefully my boys will be copycats.

Oh, and I'm using the 17 pound bag.

You're welcome! Another thing, if you email the company and ask them about their product and how safe it really is, they'll send you coupons. You can get $5 of every bag. I'm not sure if you need to physically present the coupon or if you can use it online, but it's worth a try!

I switched a couple months ago because I had used Sweat scoop, but didn't think it controlled odor very well, went back to crystals blend, but found now that I have 3 cats it didn't control the amonia smell at all. Money is tight so I was hesitant, but I have found that the extra money is well worth the smell control. I personally don't think it lasts any longer, but I'm not one to really watch how much litter I use. They need it I buy it.
