I wish like crazy that I knew Beau's actual birthday, but the fact is I do not. I can only try to guess at about when he was born, dating back from a time when I know he was aproximately 3 months old. I am guessing he was born in February. This year I want to celebrate his birthday, because he will be 15!! And, because he has been diagnosed with CRF, I do not know how much longer he and I will be together (although, thank God, he still seems to be very healthy at this point). I am thinking I should just pick a day (he won't know the difference any way) and have a special day for him. I am wondering what, if anything, any of you do to celebrate your cats' birthdays....looking for ideas.

Aw pick a day... I did! When I got Baylee we were only told how many weeks old she was by the vet so I picked the 26th because it fell in that week. And because I was born on the 26th, but of a different month.

Now that we have Max, I'm not sure how we're gonna celebrate his birthday. We might just celebrate the day he came home with us if we don't get an approximate birthday from the vet!

My kittys are about 8 months old... I don't know their exact b-day, either, but I know they were born at the beginning of may, so I am just saying that their b-day is May 1st. If you know around what time of the month Beau was born, just take a wild guess.
For b-day ideas, I would suggest, not going too crazy with his/her "party," but rather buy the cat some toys. Or, make a cat treat "cake." Whatever you do, Beau will appreciate!
Good luck!

Not to sound like I have a lack of cat knowledge, but, what is CRF?

Hope my ideas are of some help for you.

I only kinda sorta estimate that they were born on the same day, April 11.
We just have our dinner in special dishes, and I buy them toys.

Well, Summer's birthday was written as 9/11/01...weird hey? Guess I'll always know how old she is. We didn't really celebrate it last year....but we DID celebrate the one year anniversary of her adoption on December 6th.

At the kitty's beck and call
Tippy and Felicity were both about 12 weeks when we got them. Even though they were born in different years, we got them about the same time of year. So we worked back 12 weeks and it was near enough my MIL's birthday - so they share the same official birthday. When Addie came, we didn't know when her's was, so decided they could all share the same one.

Because we know all about Lily's history she has her actual birthday - 28th August 2004.

We normally make a fuss of the kittys on their birthday.

That sounds like my aunt...I'm a little worried that it's in my genes too. heehee

I will celebrate my kittens (Bert and Ernie) birthday when they are a year old. Especially since they beat the odds of survival! They were orphaned, sick, and infested with maggots
when they were brought to the clinic I work at. Not to mention they were not even 2 weeks old. So, I started out fostering...a 24 hour a day job for those two at first. Now, seven months down the road, a couple neuters, vaccinations, and microchips later they are mine for good.
Just couldn't give em up. I'll probably give them their favorite canned food. I don't give it to them anymore because it gives them the most rank farts I've ever smelled in my life!!!

We celebrate their gotcha day , because we do not know when they were born . My Zeus's gotcha day( the day he came to live with us) is on the 8th of Feb. I all ready ordered some cat toys from a women who sells cat things on the side to help the disabled cats she fosters and will probably make a cake
, My Hera's is the 24th of March and it will probably be the same just different toys because Hera likes to play ball and zeus doesn't.

Wow... for a minute there I thought I was lookin at a picture of Malakai... System looks just like him except Kai doesnt have as much white on his tummy.... He's the only other Tux I've seen with an all black face... Anyway, when I got Kai I was told he was about 2 weeks old so, I went 2 weeks back and chose a date in that week... 7/11/2004... 7/11 is supposed to be a lucky number
For his 6 month bday I couldnt afford to go to crazy so I gave him a catnip toy and let him run wild for a while... I didnt even yell at him when he broke a bunch of my stuff LoL

We celebrate everybody's birthday in our house, even if we don't know when the day is. Those who have an unknown day get an official birthday (like the Queen). The birthday boy or girl definitely get a present - either a new toy or some favourite food, depending on their preferences.
Milly has an official birthday (1 January)(cat)
Daisy's birthday is 11th July(cat)
Jack's birthday is 3rd May (pony)
Puzzle & Pickle's official birthday is sometime in July - need to check in my birthday book (they are guinea pigs)

It's a good excuse for a celebration anyway!!

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Sierra and I always celebrate her Birthday!
on July 27th, we celebrated her very special 10th Birthday with a buffet of her favorite foods including canned treats as well as fresh baked fish from which she tasted each food, prefering her favorite California Natural Deep Ocean Fish.
Now her favorite is Merrick's New England Boil. She received Birthday presents from me as well as presents and cards from her wonderful friends here at TCS!
