Ticker Central - HELP please

Ok, I was so impressed with all the tickers I could see, I went on over to Ticker Central and got one! That was the easy bit - now I feel really dumb. I can't get it to load in my siggy - what am I doing wrong?

what's a ticker?

A ticker is (assuming I called it the right thing )

The counters in the signature line that either count down to an event or log progress e.g. weightloss

once you make the ticker it should give you a page of "url" type things.
You copy one of those, go back to your making your signature page and hit the tiny picture under the size and color boxes with the yellow background and the mountains. That will bring up where you paste your copied info.
Then preview your siggy.

And look for the one that starts with

There are several different formats but that's the one you want!

Wish I had something to use a ticker for. I guess I'm too old I could do a retirement ticker. Will it countdown 7,000 days?

I can't think of nothing either Chris.... I guess we could count the days till Spring starts

After you have completed your ticker, you want to copy the info in the first box - the one for BB code and vBulletin - and paste it into your signature box when you are editing your signature.

*Edit - OK, oops, my directions referred to Ticker Factory. Not sure what it looks like on Ticker Central.

You could add a ticker for how long you want your heart to tick.

Are you copying the url that it gives you after you have created the ticker? Just copy the code it gives you and put it in your signature.

Yay!!!!! I did it folks - thanks for the help. I was doing the right stuff on TCS - of course I was, this site's brilliant! It was the Ticker Central end where I was getting stuck. First it had code for email signatures so I thought that must be the one to copy - wrong. Then when I did copy the right code, I had to get rid of most it and just strip it out to the url - when I did that it worked.

Awww poor Stephanie . We're going to Paris because I'll be 40 so I thought it was more fun to look forward to the trip .

Are you going somewhere special you're looking forward to?

I couldn't think of anything either - my birthdays not exciting, too many cats to have tickers. *sigh* Everyones tickers look good though!
