Cat pawing food out of her dish help!!!

I love my girl dearly but she is such a messy little thing! I keep her dish filled to the top and she always knocks the food out of her dish onto the floor.. It makes such a mess. I can't understand why she does this. My other cats don't. I have even gave her a dish just for her and she still makes a mess. Anyone else have this problem, if so have you had any way of changing it?

Very good point however I feel kibble is better for my cats and the other food "wet food" is used as a treat once in awhile. Your kitties are very cute btw

why would you give her so much food? You feed the cat, not the bowl (my vet always says that) put the food on a flat cookie sheet and see how she does-

Thanks! I love my boyz.

I would do some reading before deciding categorically that kibble is better for them. Cats are carnivores, and all but the very best (and usually most expensive) dry foods are loaded with carbohydrates that cats aren't genetically designed to digest. Cats do best on a diet based on protein, not grains.

Hi Momof3 !

hehe yes.. maybe you should just put a little bit of food in her dish and see what she does.

one of our cats use to scoop out food on her paw and then put it in her water dish to get soft.. LOL We then decided to put a little bit of warm water in her food dish to give her that soft yummy tast and like gravy or something.
