Movin' on up!
Last night, after a dinner of turkey and giblets and a post-prandial aerobics workout with Rowdy, I joined Mom and Dad in our queen-sized bed. As I reclined on a large, soft pillow Mom scratched my ears. Just as I was getting into a groove, purring and kneading, Mom said something that shocked me - she called me a "spoiled kitty"!

Now, I ask you: do I seem to be spoiled? I work HARD, around here: keeping an eye on the neighbors, making sure that Mom knows the instant that the food bowl is empty and keeping Mom's arthritic hip warm. In addition, my interior decorating talents are legendary. I sacrifice large quantities of my luxuriant coat, to keep the house looking homey and lived-in. Then, Mom undoes all of my efforts, with that noisy sucking thingy.

Are these the earmarks of a "spoiled" kitty? I may have to rethink and scale back my contributions to the household. Maybe, I'll work on that AFTER my post-breakfast snack and nap.

I heard my mom say that word one morning when she found some smelly food on the table. She forgot to keep it in the cold box the night before and it got "spoiled".

But you are right, we do hard work. Inspecting every corner of the house every day, catching intruders, checking that the furniture is up to our high standards of comfort, and helping her choose the right diet for us is exhausting.

ROSIE:How strange is that!, mum says that to me and Sophie as well.

If we leave any of our wet food after breakfast she always says " Theres thousands of starving kitties out there who would love this!"

I understand how you feel. My meowmy says I am spoiled too, but they don't understand what a tough day I have. It takes a lot of time to even get enough food since I only eat small meals but quite often. Then there is Mika - I have to kitty-sit her all day cuz she's still little and can get into trouble. I'm exhausted by the time meowmy and daddy get home and I figure I deserve extra consideration (that's not spoiling).

Yeah, my meowmy says I'm spoiled, too. I'd like to remind her who spoiled me!?!?!

Me - I work hard patrolling the house, catching those mice who dare intrude my space and I have to make sure all the neighborhood cats know that this property belongs to me! Not to mention waking meowmy up and reminding her that it is time to eat. Can you believe she actually told me one morning that she would feed me when she was good and ready? Her excuse? She was sick. Really...

Boy, I work hard! I need to take a nap!

Sierra: You know, Mommy says the very same thing about me. In fact I heard her say something about that just the other day as she opened the 4rth can of cat food and heated it to be served in my elevated crystal dish as harp music plays softly in the background and she talks gently in my ear. Just because her entire life revolves around me and she caters to my every whim, why on earth would she say such a thing?

whattt... who could say such a thing.
My daddy spoils me with ham.
But my mum... seriously she makes me eat the yukky cat food.
I always leave a bit of the wet food in there and then it gets alll dried up.
She says im spoiled because i dont eat it and that there are lots of homeless kitties out there that need a home and some food.
But am i them? No
she is my boss so she has to do what i say!

My meowmy made me watch Animal Cops last night and there was a whole bunch of cats and dogs that were treated real awful by their meowmies and daddies. My meowmy told me and Mika - "See how lucky you are to be so spoiled and loved". I gotta tell ya - when I saw how bad those other kitties had it, I had to agree - me and Mika are lucky. My meowmy cries when she watches that show. She said if anyone hurt me she would hire someone to beat them up so bad they would be hospitalized. Wow! She must really love me!
