My two cats love to sleep in our spare bedroom. We have a house guest this week. Well, the minute he opens the door in the morning, Max is in there, doing reconaissance and "claiming" the bed for himself. Then, this afternoon, Max was sitting in the window sill while I was on the computer. Our house guest pulls up, Max jumps off the sill and runs into the guest room and up on the bed! Too funny.

I don't know what we're going to do when that becomes the baby's room in July!

Oh thats happend to me as well!. Rosie and Sophie have the spare room aka "their room!".

We only had Rosie at the time and my ex boyfriends mum came to stay for 2 weeks she obviously slept in the spare bed where their blanket is on.

We had to keep Rosie in our room with us, but as soon as i would get up in the morning for breakfast, Rosie wouldn't come down like she normally would, she waited by the door to her room as if to say "Who's been sleeping in my bed?!"

My cats all think that MY room is their room. The other day when I was taking a nap because the muscle relaxers knocked me out, Jamie (my oldest daughter) told me that ALL 5 cats were up in the bed with me sleeping.

LOL! Aw that's like when my cat Sophie came into my room late october to get prepared to have her kittens, she had them - they grew up and Sophie was taken away and everytime she would past she would kind of wait to be let back in, like it was "her room" she most enjoyed having a human to cuddle with each night.

The whole house is theirs. I just keep it clean and keep the food coming. In return, they allow me to use their bathroom, sleep on their bed, and watch their tv. I have been borrowing the computer from Simon for a while, too.

My cats love to claim the guests, too! It's good PR for the species- People who haven't socialized with cats much will almosts always announce amazement at the flattery & attention that cats offer.
