Make A Member Feel Good 1/22/05: Anne

O.K., so Anne's not simply a member. She owns this place, and she has had the brilliant idea to share it with us. I wanted to send some props out to her in this thread, because without her:

~I would not have had the courage to try to raise Simon the Supercat by hand;
~Pengy would still be under the bed;
~My cats would still be eating poorly;
~I wouldn't know what a huge network of people there are to help care for ferals and strays;

and...

~I wouldn't have a place to come, sit down, put my feet up, and chat with friends after a long day's work;

So Anne, for your brilliance, your patience, your commitment to feline welfare, and your foresight in designing and creating a place for us to come and share ideas, get help, and trade stories, and for giving us a place for support and comfort both with our feline family and our lives in whole, I say Thank You, THANK YOU and THANK YOU again.

If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have had the patience to deal with my cats medical problems. I am able to come here for support and to vent and people don't hold it against me if I say something... a little crude.

Thank you Anne for providing this space for us to get to know one another and to share our problems, stories and encouragement with one another.

Yay! Congratulations! I guess I would have to say that you should be so proud of TCS... of this little community that you helped create where people make friends and have some place to look forward to! You're awesome!

Anne, I want to thank you so much for starting this wonderful site! What a kind and loving person you are that you care so deeply for all cats. I have learned so much and met so many wonderful people here! Thanks again!

If I never found this place I would still be having my cats on dollar brand food and they wouldnt be fixed. I wouldnt know anything at all if I wasnt in here. THANKX ANNE

Anne is so much more then a member. She made this place happen.

Without her I wouldn't have all my wonderful TCS friends. I wouldn't learn so much more about cats. I wouldn't have a place to just tell how I feel, comfort others that need comforting, give my opinion.

So thanks Anne....you made TCS happen!

Well Anne, you already know how I feel about you. What I think of your efforts here, and how proud I am to know you as I do, work with you daily and get involved in new projects with you-

Anne, although I don't know you too well. You are a wonderful person and how can we ever thank you enough for creating this place. Way too go!

Anne, you are endlessly creative, have seemingly unending energy to keep this and all of your other sites going, are a fantastic wife and mother, and still find time to help cats locally. You are simply AMAZING!!!!

Anne gives a lot of people a safe flame free place to hang out. Where we can share our opinions without always bursting in to flames, and getting personal. She gives us a place where we can learn a lot. There are so many good resources here, and links to more. It's just a wonderful place to stumble into.

Yes, Anne has made a great contribution to the world by starting this site! Countless cats have and will benefit from our having access to this wonderful network, and we have the countless joys of interacting with other really cool people. I am so grateful to Anne and everyone involved with this site. They are helping cats all over the world. I appreciate all that I've learned here on TCS. Thank you Anne, for this wonderful contirbution.

AWWW thank you so much everyone! I feel so guilty for not spending more time with my friends here - it really means a lot to me to see that people aren't mad at me for that and still remember me kindly...

Ron, my eldest turns three this month and it made me think back on how the community here has been such a huge part of my life. I actually remember things like my first pregnancy (that ended in a miscarriage) and the births of my two sons, through how I shared it with people here!

The thanks for this wonderful place I have to pass on to the team that runs this place so well - admins, mods, mentors, advisors and CL's. Thank you all from the bottom on my heart! You all do a tremendous job! Not only this place wouldn't have been the same without it - it would simply wouldn't be.

And last but not least, thanks go to my furbaby Mishmish - the cat who made it all happen. If it wasn't for this furry kitten picked out of the gutters by my husband six years ago, I would still be sitting today in some military office passing papers from one desk to another... She was the reason for me learning about cats and getting online to share that knowledge.

Wait wait wait for me!!! Anne, I could repeat what everyone said about you here, and I would mean every word of it. You are the type of person that I wish I were..........if you look in the dictionary, you would find the word, Anne, as the definition for "The Best"!

Anne, what can I say - everyone else seems to have said it all. Except to say that I have never posted on any other forum - this was my first, it's a safe, happy place to talk with wonderful friends. It's a credit to you and the TCS family that I had to search the internet to find out what "flaming" was, as I didn't have a clue what it was all about!!!
