What do you have to drink? I have 2 bottles of magnesium citrate. Before the ileostomy, I had to drink a gallon or so of golytely YUK!
I will be praying for you and thinking of you.

Thank you, kev! I'll do it!
I watched "Wicker PArk" this morning and am getting ready to see "Cellular."
I'll PM you this evening! I'll also let you know how things go on Monday.

Well I know I have never seen you in person. But I second those who say that you are not unattractive. I know that "beauty is within" is a cliche and perhaps you are not even listening when people say that 'cause it's such a cliche that people do not even hear it any more. But in actual fact it is true nevertheless. Your smile, your eyes, your heart, good intentions...those are what make a person attractive, not a perfect skin or little bumps. I wish you all the best and will say a prayer for you, Bobbie!

Bobbie, so what do you do in your spare time? Your home looks beautiful I love brick homes! Are you into gardening? reading? knitting? what are your hobbies, how do you occupy your mind? What soothes your soul?

Bobbi, you are a sweet, loving lady with a shining bright soul. If that's unattractive, then I want to be unattractive too.

You'll be in my prayers.

Best-
Michele

I have to drink something called "Half Lytely"....which I am not that familiar with. I usually give my patients the Go Lytely. Maybe the Half Lytely is only "half" as bad as the original.

Actually, just looking at the package......I think it's the same thing....only half as much. The Go Lytely is a gallon and this is only 2 liters. (thank goodness for small favors!) But included with my lovely gift package are 4 Bisacodyl tablets that I also have to take.

I'm glad they're not making me drink the mag citrate......I'd be throwing up all day too! I can't handle that stuff. It makes my throat feel "gaggy."

At first, I was scheduled to work tomorrow and then it dawned on me......I can't work if I'm having to drink that stuff all day!! I can see it now......I'd be in a patient's room trying to take care of them and I'd have to say "scuse me......I'll be right back".....and then I'd be running to the bathroom every few minutes!
I don't think the patients would have a lot of confidence in a nurse who has to stay in the bathroom all day.

Be sure and let me know how your day goes!

Bobbie, I just discoverd this thread and I want you to know that all my prayers are with you. I'm sure your scared, that is only natural, but please know that all of your friends here are with you in spirit. I just recently had to go through a surgical procedure, and someone told me that as I'm preparing for it in the hospital, just imagine that all of us are standing around you, holding your hand........it really did help me. Please let us know how it goes!

Bobbie-

Just found your thread! what everyone else has said is so true about beauty being within even if it is such a cliche saying now. I know you are a great person because for one: anyone who devotes themself to a career in education for so long makes them amazing in my book, and two: like you said cat people are the greatest people in the world
Good luck with your procedure monday. Lots of good vibes are coming straight to you from Ebony and I!
