Trump Wedding

I read this on another site:

"The View has been mentioning "The Donalds" wedding the past week and today. I just can't believe the bride is spending $100,000 on a dress - a ONE TIME dress. Apparently the dress is so heavy (weighs 50 lbs.) that she has to practice walking in it and she can't sit in a chair because it is so bulky. Apparently she will use a bench. But not to fear she has a more simple wedding dress in the wings for dancing, etc.

Then of course there was the mention of where the couple are registered - REGISTERED! Maybe it is just me but what could these two possibly need from these three very expensive stores. I don't really understand why they just don't ask people to donate to the tsunami relief effort. Those islands will be devastated for years to come and they need food and supplies daily.

I know that the rich are different and certainly they will be giving money of some kind and my husband reminds me that the wedding dress which took over 500 hours to make by hand kept several people in jobs but I still I don't really understand the waste. I think she would look beautiful in any dress even one off the rack. Think of what that $100,000 could do for so many.

Well maybe if it were me and I had all that money and lived a somewhat sheltered existence it would be different."

I cannot believe that anyone would spend so much $$ for a wedding. I agree with whoever wrote this! (Her nick is Bonnie.)
She says:
Think of what that $100,000 could do for so many.
I agree!

35 million to rennovate the ballroom where the couple will take their first official married dance. Gold leafing everything, setting in a marble floor.......I'm sorry, I know he has billions of dollars, but this is insane, and the money he spent on chandliers alone 250,000 dollars each and he purchased eight of them..........gold sinks and faucets in the bathrooms.......good lord!

Plus it will last about 5 years tops. She will take off with some young guy I predict.

Blech! I wish Trump would just leave NYC and take all his UGLY buildings with him. It may not be a "one time only" dress. With Trumps marriage record, she might be able to wear it again! I hate that man...makes me wanna puke! Hissy, tell Mike to think of all the toupee makers he is keeping OUT of work by keeping that rediculous comb-over. Even Guiliani finally ditched his...be a man Donald...show us your bald spot!

Makes you wonder what the first two wives are thinking.

That's mean.

Ugly buildings?? What about the ugly hair? Who would marry a man with such a bad wig? Oh a money grabber that's who. I heard that Ivana Trump was going to attend the wedding, very strange considering the ugly divorce they had.

As for dresses, did anyone see Kevin Costner's new brides dress? She looks like a toilet paper cover.

you know he has to have mob ties, he isn't the great success he makes himself out to be. He sold out years ago, I am sure there are dead bodies
in the cement below one of his towers.

If it runs anything like his last, it will be less than five years.

He bragged that he divorced Marla, just BEFORE the five-year provisions in the prenup kicked in, costing him less $$$.

I can't stand to hear about this wedding. They could do so much better things with there money. It's really a shame.

Wow, I can see another reason for this website to be called "TheCatSite"

Such petty, vicious, comments.

Who cares about:

A. His hair
B. His fiancee
C. His wedding and how much it costs

I am happy for him and his bride. Who are any of you really to tell him how much he SHOULD be spending on his wedding or how it SHOULD be "better spent."

It's his money, his wedding

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS !

Since when is one's opinion not worthwhile? Trump pollutes our air waves, MY CITY with his UGLY buildings, and his hair scares old ladies with coronary artery disease.
THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

We're telling him what to do? No we're not... I highly doubt he visits TCS on a regular basis (not to mention at all) and reads these threads and is going "hmmm, these people are telling me how to plan my wedding - how rude".

We're just 'venting' because it would be nice to have so much money to be able to spend on whatever. And it seems like if we had that much money, some of us wouldn't be that extravagant when there's so much need in the world. That's all.

It is, and you are right. NO one said they were not happy for DOnald and his bride. I just started the thread, saying that in my opinion, they were spending an awful lot of $$$ on the wedding.

I agree with you, pinkdaisy.
