I don't know if any of you have noticed, but I haven't had a whole heck of a lot to say here since my MIL was sick and passed away just before Christmas. I've been here, I've read most of the threads and kept up with everyone, and I've welcomed our new members via PM's. I just haven't had it in me to post a lot to what was going on here. I haven't been "depressed" really, just not really interested in speaking my mind, either here, the other boards I visit, or in RL either. Well, all I can say is "Thank God for small favors", as I was able to spend some time last night with my friends the Perrys (the Southern Gospel group that I am proud to be able to call friends) in concert , on their bus and for awhile here at the shoe store. We did a lot of talking and praying, and I am proud to say that I woke up this morning happy to be alive and here at TCS! Hopefully you guys won't get tired of listening to me post, 'cause I think Charlie is about ready to gag me !

Cindy, it's only natural for you to have needed some "down time" following recent experiences. Don't worry - if Charlie wants to gag you, you'll always find some ready listeners here!

Cindy, I've missed you a lot lately and you've been there for me especially in the last month--I appreciate it with all my heart. I am glad you are feeling better and hope to see you on MSN messenger again soon!! Many hugs to you my friend!

P.S. I went through the same thing last July when Bryan died. It took me a couple of weeks to get back to my normal self. --having a plant helps ease the pain, imho. A title company brought in a plant around the time of his death and I've kept it alive and beautiful since...it's huge--every time I water it, it makes me think of the beautiful and fun memories we shared.

It is only natural that you have had a down period. I am glad that things are looking up for you!

We all go through times in our lives when various things seem more appealing or less appealing. Consider it normal and enjoy what you enjoy when you enjoy it. The things that are truely important will be around year after year or you will migrate back towards them as your life permits. It is good that you are at a point where your "back" and I hope you find your time here again as enjoyable as it was the first time you found this board. I look forward to hearing about your Kitties and seeing more pictures.

Sorry you've been going through some things.
I think it's perfectly normal that you'd feel a bit withdrawn, though - the same happened to me after I recently went through some stuff (as you can see, I'm back to running my mouth now
). I'm glad you're feeling back to normal, though!

Cindy, I understand how you are feeling, I am in a funk right now after Rick died and its only been 2 weeks.
I keep seeing his face every time I close his eyes and little things remind me of him. Sorry to hijack this thread...

Heres a big hug for you

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Cindy your bound to be emotional because it's still early days, but it's been said that january and february can make a lot of people feel a bit down because of the dark cold nights, so possibly that isn't helping?!.

Roll on the spring when the warmer weather starts, the nights are lighter, the buds are on the trees, the crocuses and daffs pop up and everyone feels a bit better!
