Sigh.. Well Zebra's been home for quite some time, this month she had her teeth cleaned and had one tooth extracted because she had a cat cavity. The vet tells us that she has a few more cavities coming in, but they were not bad enuf to be extracted at the time. She suggested that I either get a toothbrush & toothpaste for her, or that I brush her teeth with a cloth, with Chamomile tea on it. Apparently the Chamomile acts as a disinfectant. Zebra bites me (lightly) everytime I try to go near her mouth. Her teeth don't *seem* to be bothering her anymore.. she's eating hard food & everything.. but shejust doesn't want me to go near her mouth! I bought her plaque/tartar fighting treats, which she doesn't really care much for.. just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions.I've been trying to slowly introduce it to her.. like when i'm brushing/petting her, i'lljust try to put my fingers near her mouth.. she'll stand it for a second.. and then she snaps at me. Can't blame her i guess.. but the vet wants me to do this 2x a day!!!! I don't want poor zebra to lose all of her teeth!!!

It's a difficult situation because Zebra probably doesn't want you touching her mouth because it may be sore but if you don't, she may lose more teeth. If you type teeth cleaning into the search function, you'll see lots of threads giving tips and tricks on how to deal with this.
