We ended up keeping one of the kittens Angel had..and found good homes for mommy and the other two babies..the kitten we kept went in for his shots..distemper I believe..he's about 11 weeks old.. anyhow..all day he's been very very quiet, if you pick him up or disturn him he cries and cries.. he's just been sleeping all day..and tonight he's shivering a little.. I'm nto sure what we should do with him..we'll call the vet in the morning but what till then? he's not really interested in food or water and just seems like he doesn't feel well..any advice would be appreciated

He also doesn't seem to have any allergic or reactions like listed on the adverse vaccine reactions pages..so I'm not sure

Hi Xira, I have been told by the vets that it's normal for kitties to be lethargic for a day after getting his/her shots. If this extends over 24 hrs, get him to the vet asap. Please keep us posted. Good thoughts coming your way.

Until you can call the vet, keep the kitty warm. If you have some uncooked rice, stuff some in a sock, tie off the ends, and nuke it in the microwave about 30 seconds. Make a few of these "rice heaters" and put them under one layer of his bedding. Try and put him in a cardboard box laying on it's side, so the heat won't escape. Cover the box opening partway with a blanket, leaving enough room for him to go in and out of underneath. But please keep him warm-

Try and get some water into him - not ice cold but room temperature. If you have a syringe use that, or a cake icing nozzle, or at a pinch wet his gums so he licks it off.

And before bed he was drinking (and playing with ) some water.. this mornign he's back to his bouncy crazy kitten self..thank you all though!
