thank you for posting that...my biological clock was getting a little out of control but after seeing the size of that baby I think I can put off the baby urges for a bit longer

Wow that's a big boy, I heard on the news the heaviest newborn baby on record was
a massive 23.12lb...the baby only lived for 11 hours.

I am sure that baby will have some sort of medical problems and not be "normally healthy", what a shame. I hope he has a good quality of life for as long as he lives and I hope thats many many years despite what I think might end up happening.

I wonder if he has any sort of disease like some of the "giant" people thoughout history have had.

The biggest one we had on our unit was 15lbs...he was HUGE! We practically had to butter him to get him in the crib!

BTW, he was perfectly normal and healthy...just big.

I saw that on tv, they think the reason he is big is because of his mothers diabetes. My son was big enough at 9lbs 5oz!

My dad weighed a little over 15 lbs. at birth. He was born at home! EEK! My daughter was 10 lbs. and because I had gestational diabetes, they said the next one would be about 13 lbs. I had my tubes tied soon after.
