Hello everyone!
My name is Jessica, or you can go by my internet name, Sylorna. My new kitten is named Chester, and I am currently trying to figure out how to make him my advitar.
My kitty story goes like this:
20 years ago I fell in love with a lynx point siamese named Natasha. I was 3 and she was born to one of my mom's friends cats, named Sushi. Natasha used to run to the door when I'd come over, follow me through the house and then whine when I left. It was meant to be. After 20 years of love and companionship, I was forced to make the decision that no one wants to make this summer. She passed on peacefully in July of 2004. I miss her so much, but have morned my loss and have decided to get a new furball.
My new boy is a black and white 5 month old kitten that I just got from the humane society. His name is Chester and he is a sweetheart. Unfortunately, he has an upper respitory infection (which i'll be posting about in another section of this board). But seems to be healing. I'm very excited to have him, and he's very excited to chase my giant land snails and guinea pig while being cooped up in my room.
Hopefully it will be another 20 years of love.
Hope to hear from you all!
Jessica

Welcome, Jessica & Chester! My condolences on losing Natasha, but congrats on Chester! Natasha did have a long life so Chester is a very lucky boy. If you post pics, I'd love to see a shot of Chester and the land snails (I've never heard of them, but being from the desert, I find regular garden snails fascinating)too. I look forward to your next post soon!

I sure will keep that in mind! I'm sorta overrun with landsnails at the moment, the big guys had babies and 32 of them hatched. Of course I can't find near enough people to take them....20 of the dang things left. But at least Chester likes to watch them "snail" around
