International vs local cat show question

Hopefully I'm posting in the right place.
I need some clarification about cat shows. I went to one recently and I disagreed with the emcee calling the cat show an international one. There were foreign judges but no foreign participants (although I found out later they did invite entries from other countries). They told me the reason it was international was because the awards would be recognized globally. Is this correct?

Hmm that's a tough one - we don't have "international" cat shows here but I say if it's held by a world recognised fancy then it is International. We have had other cat fanciers from overseas show their cats at our shows in NZ, and it's not recognised as International, however if CFA came and launched a show here in NZ then that's where the International bit might come into it. Do you understand? A confusing way to put it. Sorry.

Within SVERAK (FIFÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]) a cat show is international if there is at least one foreign judge and if certificates for higher titles than champion and premier can be won.

FIFÃ[emoji]169[/emoji] only recognizes titles won within FIFÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]. TICA, CA and CFA-titles are not recognized by FIFÃ[emoji]169[/emoji].

Thank you Sol. As you can see in the pictures, the foreign organization is the European Group Cat Association. I don't think they are associated with Federation Internationale Feline.
