Welcome to Manchester, everyone! The first thing we see, straight ahead of us, is Hulme Bridge.
This adjoins both parts of Hulme that is separated by the Princess Parkway. Hulme is in the process of being regenerated, so I feel that this bridge represents the new life brought to the area!
From here, we will go up onto Oxford Road. This is where the students usually frequent and the universities are all located on or around this road.
There are lots of bars and restaurants here!

Oooh looks like there's a lot of traffic on Oxford Road also!
We are actually travelling in the opposite direction to which we are looking at Oxford Road!
We will take a quick detour round the side roads so that you can see an element of China Town and Canal Street (Gay Village)
China Town - with loads of delicious restaurants and take aways!
Canal Street also full of wonderful bars, restaurants and clubs! You can also sit on a boat on the canal (it is part of one of the restaurant bars!)

Yeah, there is soooooo much traffic! It is because it is so central and there are so many one way streets! Plus Oxford Road is the central road of Manchester - leads to most places!
If you look straight ahead of us now, you will be able to see Manchester Central Library.
Fair warning to you all! Watch out for trams while you are wandering about town - they seem to come out of nowhere!
Now, we shall walk aroung the Library to see the Town Hall on Albert Square.
In December, we have a Continental Market in this square, selling all sorts of goodies! Quite a number of other events are held here too!
