Chester is in the same area where flissweetpea (Beth) lives. She mentioned the ruins to me.

From here, we will go through West Kirby to see the beach!
Step on it Ringo - so much to see!

This is the Mariner, you can take lessons in boating and Windsurfing. The Boating Club is just up from here.

During the summer months, West Kirby, and other nearby beaches, become very busy, but here is always somewhere to sit!

A couple of miles away from the shore, there is a small island called Hilbre. During the summer - when the tides are out - you can walk to the island, even camp there if you like and are brave enough!!

Hi Chris!

I didn't realise that Flissweetpea lives in Chester!

Yayi, yes that is a submarine! They haven't carried live ammunition for a VERY long time! So we should be safe around them!
They do still sail though!

Jenny I would love to have someone....but hmmm....who do I want?
Who are you getting? Any ideas?

I think you have to be brave to stay on Hilbre because it is pretty eerie and you have to be positive that you have made the right decision on the tides, as you could get stuck on the island
I don't think it is haunted or anything, but I wouldn't want my imagination to run wild there!

I am going to ask the carpet for Omar Sharif. My age group, handsome, witty and intelligent. But I can ask for others too, I am sure.

I'm brave enough to camp on Hilbre!
I'll have my dependable inflatable canoe and plastic oars just in case!

She lives in the area but not in Chester. Of course she told me what Americans consider "nearby" and what you consider "nearby" are different.

Now we are passing through Parkgate. This is the marsh land area of the Wirral. The Marsh on occasion in the past has flooded and covered the entire area - even up to the four pubs that line the street.
From here, on a clear day, you are able to see to North Wales.

This pub is called the Red Lion. It is the smallest pub in Parkgate. (I used to work here
)
Is everyone hungry? We can pop in here and grab something tasty for breakfast!

Oh, I see!

Yayi - I am glad you came prepared! Maybe I should get myself one of those and try to be brave and camp there!

Breakfast sounds a good idea. We left pretty early and the kits are hungry. They want to know if there are any fish around?
