Both Yayi! the North East of England is where i'm from, and the United Kingdom is made up of 4 countries which is England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

It's easy - Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland, and the United Kingdom (or UK) includes Northern Ireland as well. Don't get me started on the politics and history of that, because it would take all day! Suffice it to say they are all under the Queen as Head of State!

I'm full of questions (I'm also like this when traveling in the real world) that I may be interrupting your fun. So just one more before I go - So, if one says he's British, he's either English, Welsh or Scot. I know definitely that the Irish don't want to be called British. Right?

As far as i know it's the catholic Irish who don't want to be known as British?!, the prodestant Irish don't mind.

Yayi -you are treading on dangerous ground! You are right on the English, Welsh, and Scots - though many Scots prefer to be called Scottish. But in Ireland it depends on whether you are speaking to a Protestant (mostly Unionist) or a Catholic (some are Republican) . All Unionists prefer to be called British, but only some Catholics, as the Republicans want to be allied with Eire, or what used to be Southern Ireland. That is what the struggles in Ireland are all about.
