Persil is scared. But Ellie is in her element - I always thought she had been a witch's cat in a former life (one of her 9). Being coal black she can creep around in the dark! These old castles are great - I love visiting them, and this is one of the best areas of England to see a variety - mostly built to keep the Scots out in the middle ages!
Oh, and going back to the fried bread - it is fried but shouldn't be greasy, as long as it is cooked in really hot oil, the same as French Fries.
