Has another driver ever made you upset over a parking space?

I just am curious as to what peoples experiences are with other drivers and parking lots, parking spaces and the road. Tell me your story. How did you handle the situation? Did you get 'revenge'?

Come on.. dish the goods....

This wasn't a parking lot situation, but I still think it's kind of funny.

I had just bought a couch. Since I have a relatively small car (Toyota Corolla), my dad was moving it in his Dodge Durango. We were driving it from my home town back to my college apartment. My dad drove the Durango (large SUV) and I drove my little car.

At some point, I got in the fast lane. I was probably going 5 or 10 miles over the speed limit. A car came up behind me, so I got into the center lane. After the car passed, I got back over. The car proceeded to slow down until I switched back to the center lane. I assume he thought he was teaching me a lesson by showing me that I "belonged" in the center lane.

My dad was watching all this. He got tired of seeing this guy harass me, so *he* sped up and tailgated the guy, following him as he switched lanes. I think he scared the guy to death.

A couple of years back, I was driving home with my boys in the back seat. This van comming the opposite direction turned in front of me. I mean, RIGHT in front of me. So, I honked at the guy, at which he proceeded to show me his middle finger. So, I happily showed him mine back. The light a block away turned red, so I was stuck at it. I sat there wating for the light to turn green when all of a sudden, I hear a "SMACK" on my passenger window. Here was this guy with his hand on my window, screaming at me in the middle of stopped traffic, in front of my babies. I WAS TERRIFIED!!! The light turned green and I made it to the nearest parking lot I could find up the street, got out of the car and just cried!!!
I then called the police, who came out and took a print of the guys hand off of my window. Nothing ever appened to they guy though, cause the print was smudged.

ARRGG!

What killed me about this was the fact that this an did this in front of my children!!!

Oooh I had a moment last night. I had had a stressful day so I decompressed by walking around Barnes & Noble. I was very calm when I walked back to my car and started reversing. A few spaces down another car was also reversing, but we had enough space to clear each other. This guy SAW me... hurried up and backed out of his car and then tried to squeeze behind me to leave. He honked me because I was backing into him... when 2 seconds of patience would mean he could've gone.

Why? What was the hurry? I caught up to him 5 seconds later!

I've had countless situations where someone gets pissed at me. For example I was cruising around in the parking lot (speeding, I know
) and this Honda Prelude all decked out flies infront of me (speeding as well), slams his brakes and gives me the finger. I mouthed a couple words back at him and then gave him a thumbs up,
The expression on his face was sooo funny. After that he parked about 10 spaces away from me. Meh, it was fun.

Peace,
Brandon

Over the holidays my husband and I were getting ready to pull into a spot when this lady in a pickup pulled in on the other side and pulled forward enough to take both spotsand half of the one next to her. He got so ticked that he keyed her truck.

I don't drive, but my otherwise mild-mannered bf does, and the only time I've ever heard him yell at another person is when we're in the car, and it's usually over a parking space or someone cutting us off. I don't know what it is, but it just does something to people! But it makes me nervous, because I'm always afraid the other road-rage person is going to be crazier than him and pull out a gun or something.

The funniest though was was once when we were driving on this really congested street by us, where there are always tons of double-parked cars, and a CITY BUS tried to cut us off. I thought the guy was going to drive over our car. My bf slammed on the brakes and leaned on the horn. It was the middle of summer and our windows were open and the bus driver's window was open, and the bus driver actually HUNG OUT THE WINDOW OF THE BUS and yelled "You little pr**k!" at my bf, at the top of his lungs. Of course, the bus was on my side, so my bf leans over me and yells "Yeah have a nice f*****g day, a**h***!" I just tried to squish down in my seat and not look at anyone.

I try to park out in the "Boondocks" whenever I can just so I don't have to deal with aggressive drivers.

I saw the BEST thing happen a couple years ago around the holidays while we were loading bags into our car. The holidays just brings out the WORST in drivers, and especially in parking lots. There was a lady unloading her cart and getting her children, at least two in baby/booster seats, situated in her car, and this guy was waiting on her parking spot. She was almost done when the guy just *couldn't possibly* wait any more, and angrily honked his horn at her. She very calmly got her kids out of their seats and walked right back into the store!
That guy was just FUMING - you could almost see the steam shooting from his ears.

I have loads of stories, but I think this is the funniest:
Back when I was young and not afraid of anything (ok-I was stupid), a guy was tailgating me in the right lane. Wondering why he didn't just get in the left lane, I GOT OUT OF MY CAR at the next light to make that suggestion.
He didn't appreciate my suggestion
and after he used a few loud adjectives, I got back in my car and we started moving again. He FOLLOWED me.
I calmly pulled into the parking lot of my Karate school. Class was scheduled to begin in just a few minutes. I honked my horn and the whole class filed out! The other driver sped away as quick as he could!
