This is kind of a "better late than never" bit of news, especially for members on the west coast.

If you have no dinner plans yet for tonight (10/11), think about heading out. Several national chains are donating a portion of tonight's proceeds to the Red Cross for victims of Sept. 11.

Outback Steakhouse (and all the restaurants it owns, i.e. Carrabba's) are donating 100% of gross sales.

The turnout locally where I am was phenomonal!

That's a great idea! Well, I went next door to the Chinese restaurant and got some take-away: Mongolian beef. Does that count? If I'd have known about this a bit sooner (my own fault for not checking here) I'd have headed over to Outback Steakhouse — even though it would have been a budget buster!
