Does your cat groom you?

I used to have an indoor/outdoor cat named Patches that liked to groom beards or hair. I remember being a kid and seeing him sitting on my sleeping brothers chest licking his beard. At times he had even grabbed my head in his paws, locked on with his claws and proceeded to groom my head! One of our current cats Elmer likes to rub up against my beard because he knows it will get him a headrub and once in awhile and will try to almost bite but never goes to the extremes that Patches did. Does your cat groom you?

Now and again Rosie and Sophie will groom my hand.

Sophie isn't really a biter or a scratcher because i learnt not to tease her with my hands like i used to when Rosie was a kitten, but if i tickle Sophie and she's had enough she'll grab my hand and give me a quick nip but then she'll lick it straight away.

I often think is that her way of saying sorry?!

Roo likes to groom everyones arms. Sometimes if she starts to groom ya when you're asleep she lick your arm red and it gets sore too!

Cougar likes to lick my face and arms when I come home from running. I think he likes the salt.

I've had to keep KittenKiya out of my bedroom at night. He wakes me up washing my hair.

Pixel grooms my hair after i've washed it, usually while it's still wet. i think it's because of the smell of the shampoo... she doesn't do it after a day or so...

All mine groom me to a greater or lesser extent. Ellie does it most, and will wrap her paws around my arm or neck while licking furiously. But she has an oral fixation anyway!

Baylee likes to lick my hand a bit when she's grooming herself. Occasionally she'll lick my forehead or nose but not as often. Once in a blue moon she'll lick my jeans or shirt... which is so random and weird!

I think only one of mine does that... K.C.... she sleeps on my hair every night, and she will nuzzle and drool all over my scalp before settling down 'into' my hair, after making her nest (long hair).

Sometimes she gets wirey and nutty over it... sort of bites and makes these grunting noises as she drools & nuzzles into my scalp!

My kitty will sometimes play and nip me and then lick me right away. And sometimes she just licks my hand. She also has a stuffed toy that she likes to wrestle with and she grooms him too when they are done playing. SO CUTE. I hope she enjoys the live kitty I'm bringing home for her half as much.

Yeah, Smokie's a lover. I prefer to think of it as kissing rather than grooming, but to each his (or her) own! She *kisses* anyone and everyone and anywhere. Fingers, toes, noses (especially noses), ears, cheeks, chins, arms... The list goes on! She even got my eyelid once when I was sleeping. Left a little sore on it, but I couldn't be mad! I adore it, but she does get aggressive at night (meaning, I'm trying to sleep and she is very persistent!).

Thanks! No actually I barely feel it! And its too cute because he purrs so loud in my ears and makes a nest on my chest

Jelly likes to lick my nose. It's soo cute.

Meeko is almost obsessive about grooming everyone (to the point where he really annoys the other cats with it!), including me! If I'm lying down at night, he'll come and lie on my pillow and groom my hair and my face.

Thomas likes to sit on the back of the sofa and groom my hair, Kendra is a hand licker, as is Caleb. The rest are just too lazy to be bothered

My cat, Clamity Jane, grooms my forehead. She somtimes accidentally eats my hair! LOL!

My little Sato (ok he's not so little now) will sometimes do some work on my arm or hand... He prefers to just snuggle, tho, which is awfully cute.

Bijou will lick and groom my face for ages. At nights just before he goes to sleep he licks my eyelids - that hurts I have to tell you. He also grooms Mika a lot. She gets tired of it and gives him a nip so he'll stop.
