Hi - I stumbled across this site while searching for feral cat resources.

Today my mom found a momma cat and her 5 or 6 babies living under her house today. The cats seem to be pretty wild and she believes they have come over from her neighbor's property (since he now lets his dogs run around loose all the time). She doesn't want them living under the house, so they found a humane trap and are attempting to relocate them to a sheltered area in one of the outbuildings where they have built a nesting place. She is fine with them living outside as "farm" cats, but they can't come in the house because of the two dogs that are not friendly with cats. She will feed and care for them as much as she can, but doesn't want them breeding and creating more litters.

I told her I would do some research and try to find information about spay/neuter & release/TTVAR programs in Nebraska. I'm hoping to find someone who offers free/low cost spay & neuter for the cats. She can't afford to get them all fixed, but I can help out somewhat. If you could point me in the right direction or offer any resources or assistance, that would be great, especially because she thinks the kittens must be about 3 or 4 months old, so they should be getting fixed very soon!

I live in San Francisco, but my mom lives in the country between Seward & Lincoln.

I live close to Lincoln and know of rescue groups there; I know some vets have hel spay/neuter clinics in surrounding areas. You said she lives between Seward and Lincoln, a town in particular or a RF address, is she in Douglas county?
I'll send some addresses your mom can contact later on.
