My friend recently upgraded his Windows 98 to Windows 2000. Now he can print all of his documents, except web pages on IE and email from Outlook Express. Any trouble shooters know what the problem might be? As this is a non-Mac issue, I am out of ideas.

What happens when he tries to use the print button/select file+print/ or press ctrl P? Does he get an error message of any kind?

Here are some other questions:

1. Is the print button greyed-out, as in not working as a button at all?

2. What version of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express is he using?

3. Has he tried downloading the latest drivers available for his printer?

"Print" is not grayed out. It works fine, only no print window opens up and nothing prints. I suggested updating both IE and Outlook Express. I believe the printer drivers are current.

One other thing he could try is to make sure the encoding is correct.

In IE:

1. Open up IE.
2. Click on "View"
3. Mouse over "Encoding"
4. Select "Unicode" if it is not already selected.

In OE:

1. Open up OE.
2. Click on "View"
3. Mouse over "Encoding"
4. Select "Western European (ISO)" if it is not already selected.
