Okay, guys. I really am in bad need of advice quickly.

This stray calico has been appearing at my house in the last week or so. Since she was female I was starting to look into doing a TNR, and get her spayed. Today she came and I started looking her tummy. I am not sure if this is because she is eating a lot, but she is fatter. Her belly seems to be disproportionately big in proportion with her body. She just might be prego. I really am hoping she's not, because I was hoping to trap her tomorrow or tuesday and have her spayed.

My question is this: I have it understood I can still have her spayed, right? I remember that when we were signing the document for the spaying of Saladina it read in a corner a statement which translated read along the lines, "I acknowledge that if the animal is in heat, or is pregnant, the price will be higher". I didn't pay attention but assumed that I could spay a pregnant cat.

Now, I don't need any trouble to get her, for she lets herself be touched, to be petted, she rubs my legs, and such, although she doesn't let herself to be picked up.

Again, the question is, can I spay her if she's pregnant? I don't mind paying extra if I have to.

I volunteer at the Alley Cat Allies feral cat clinic and EVERY cat is spayed...even the pregnant ones.

Yes...you can have her spayed...but it will depend on whether the vet feels that spaying pregnant cats is ok and whether the vet feels that it is safe.
