My cat, female almost 5 years old has recently ( started yesterday ) been throwing up almost everytime she eats. I have seen her eat once or twice since this started without vomiting. She is normal in every other way. Playful and vibrant and she is eating normally. She does not seem to be feverish, she is not lethargic.

The only change in her diet has been the introduction of Fancy Feast canned food which she has been having one can per every other day ( any more frequently and she gets diarhea )

Only once has the vomit contained a hairball, all other cases have been mostly undigested food.

It is sunday so there is no veternarian available where I live except at the emergency clinic which is very expensive. Please help if you have any advice for me. Thanks

If she is keeping some food and water down and is still bright and alert there is no need to rush her into emergency. I would have her see a vet ASAP though and discuss this problem with him. I would also not give her any more Fancy Feast as this may be causing the problem. It is not a very good quality food anyway IMO.

I agree with Dr. Doolittle, only a very few of the Fancy Feast formulas are decent..there are a couple that do not use by-products, soy protein concentrate etc., but you really have to check the label. As I recall it is their seafood blends (in aspic...one is sardines, crab blend) where you will find the decent ingredients list.
