Today was bath day for Tousse and the Bease. This was the first time I used conditioner along with thier shampoo. Bease is now hissing at Tousse. Did I really screw up by using the conditioner? Maybe like change his scent or something? I used it on both of them but I think I used a lil more on Tousse. Sighs.

Just curious why you are bathing your cats? They really come equipped to bathe themselves, and bathing will dry out their skin quickly, not to mention stress out most cats who fear water. Yes, you have changed their scents to something unknown to them, so you need to neutralize both of them again. You can do so with brewers yeast, just dust the coats lightly (if the cats are dry) and then brush both cats. Do this several times a day-

Hissy, I bathe them every one to two months. And have since Tousse was a baby. Unfortunately Tousse and Beasley are not very big on cleaning themselves. Tousse without a bath for a month or two is fine, but after two months his fur it seems becomes dull. Bease on the other hand after a month is a rather stinky lil girl. As for the bathing upsetting them, Tousse loves water. While I bathe Beasley he actually sits in the bathtub with her. And Beasley is fine with getting a bath as long as she can sit on my lap while I bathe her. The conditioner was initially supposed to be for Bease because her coat is not only dry but it is also very dull and it was recommended by our vet. Shrugs. I thought why not use it on both of them since it was bath time for both of them. I think they are doing better now, or at least seem to be. They are both curled up on my pillow fast asleep. We'll see what happens when they wake up.

Thanks PinkDaisy. My bubbas (one of their new nicknames) are doing extremely well! LOL! The Bease is growing like a weed and Toussaint is a chunker! Beasley has skipped the terrible twos and has gone onto something I cant even name. LOL! I call her the "Grey Menace" When I try to use my bathroom sink she finds ways to traumatize me, like the time I was trying to wash my face. I was bent over the sink and she climbed onto my back. Well that just did not end too well at all. Sighs. Anyways, the "Grey Menace" and her brother, the "Black Avenger" are doing extremely well! How is Miss precious Baylee doing?

Aw, are you going to post new pictures of them? They are so cute... how old are they now? And that is so funny that Bease climbed on your back when you were washing your face! Those pair must keep you on your toes!

Baylee is going pretty well - settling into a new apartment that now has a second story and is giving us heart attacks by balancing on the railing 15 feet or so off the air... imagine having the Gray Menace and the Black Avenger doing THAT while you're trying to sleep!
