I have to go for a "Pre-Procedure" appointment at the hospital on Thirsday afternoon. Then on Friday, I start on a clear liquid diet. Saturday night is laxative time, and on Sunday, I get to have 2 laxative COCKtails.
My friend Shannon is taking me to the hospital on Monday morning. They won'tlet me come alone, for someone has to be there to hear the results and to be able to remember it all and to drive me home.
They SAY I am not to drive for 24 hours after that, but I always go to school the next day.
I am really nervous that they will find more polyps and will want to do a permanent ileostomy this time.

The last year was bad, having those 2 major surgeries, but at least I got the reversal. Please pray that all is well and that I get to keep my normalcy.
Thanks to all!~

(Sept 2003, I had a temporary ileostomy, was in the hospital for 8 days and then out of work for 6 weeks. The surgeon removed 12 inches of my large intestine and all of teh rectum, but he built a new one for me. I had to have an ileostomy bag for 4 months; January 2004 I had the reversal, was in the hospital for 17 days, then out of work for 4 mroe weeks, lost to 67 pounds)

I pray for your quick and safe recovery! Hospitals and operating rooms scare me to no end. I know what you are going through, having had a hard time with surgeries in 2003.

BIG HUGS!!

Thank you both!
One of the worst parts for me was being away from my babies for the 17 days after the 2nd surgery. I am just scared that they will find more polyps and want to do a permanent ileostomy.

Just seeing all those cute kitties makes me feel better. It will all be ok. I think dreading it is the worst part. That might be what is making me feel lousy now.

Here's hoping that the doctor finds nothing to concern him, if anything needs to be fixed it is minor and easily taken care of, and that you have a full and uneventful recovery - the majority of it at home with your kitty cats. Good luck with the surgery and the prognosis. We will keep our fingers and paws crossed.

Some of you know that I am single, have never married, no kids, no romantic relationship, so my 2 cats are my family.

They are my darlings.
I have many good friends, and I count y'all among those.
