Stupid People......

On the news this morning, they reported on a father and daughter (the father looked to be in his 60's and the daughter was probably in her 30's) who were taken to a hospital last night. Apparently, the two had been out drinking together and were arguing over who was sober enough to drive home. They pulled over and were going to switch places. But as they both walked around in front of the truck, it ran over them because someone forgot to put the truck in park. They are both going to be ok.

Sounds like NEITHER of them were in any shape to drive home.

Wow. Now that's kinda sad, in a pathetic way!

That's right...father and son got into a gunfight over chicken...and one of them got shot in the head!

Answer to their question: None of them was sober enough to drive home.

Guess both of those stories are proof positive that Stupid People Shouldn't Breed!

Definite candidates for the Darwin awards. Sheesh.

Well in the case of the drunk father and daughter.....sounds like that apple didn't fall too far from the tree!

It does go to show - there IS justice in the world!

There are unfortionately too many people lacking common sense....I couldnt link the story, because it was some time ago, but courtTV has stupid criminal reports on their website weekly (real funny sometimes - http://www.courttv.com/people/scm/ )
Anyways, there was once a story about a man who was too drunk to drive but wanted to go to the club down the street, so recruited his drunk friend to drive instead. Miracrulously, he successfully directed the guy all the way to the place, where in the parking lot he hit a parked car....But come on....

Oh dear! *shakes head*

Very true. Since I work in a hospital and often see the end result of drinking and driving....I can honestly say......it's NOT a good thing to do. Just this week, I was taking care of a 24 year old guy who is severely brain damaged, quadraplegic, and will live out the rest of his life in a nursing home all because he chose to drive after he had been drinking.

I sometimes wish that high schools could take tours through the hospital and see what can happen to young people (or people of any age) when they don't use good judgement.

Ugh! That kind of thing makes me so mad when it happens in my country, because we have universal healthcare, so when someone injures themselves as a result of stupidity like this, the rest of us have to pay with our tax dollars for their stupidity! Not an issue for you guys there I guess, but it's what always comes to mind for me when I hear this sort of thing.

Actually, it is an issue in a lot of cases. This kid in particular is not a U.S. citizen.....so the state run healthcare program is paying for all his medical bills.......so yes.....we are paying for his stupidity. And there are many more just like him......illegal aliens who come here to work.....get sick or injured and wind up with the government supporting them.
