OMG... what beautiful blue eyes

Have you thought about entering him in a pet show? CFA shows have household pet contests, they don't have to be purebred, and he would be a sure fire winner. He is just gorgeous. Becky

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone!

I don't think there are any CFA shows where I live. At least I've never heard of one happening on this island. Kionu is a purebred Persian, but he's only 7 months old. Is that too young to enter him?

If you have his papers you could enter him as a purebred, but his face isn't standard, I don't think. To me he is more beautiful, but he doesn't meet the standard. But you could just enter him as a household pet if you want. There are cat shows in Honolulu. 4-8 months is kitten class, I think, then they are shown as adults.

I don't have his official papers in my possession as he was rescued from the breeder. However, I did see his papers while I was there and he is purebred. His papers were certified by a CFA representative or agent (not sure what the term used is). Anyway, Honolulu is too far away to take him for shows. He can barely handle car rides to the vet.

Thank you for the information though! I will keep it for future reference.

If he doesn't like to travel then even if the show was in your town, he wouldn't have a good time. And cats that are shown should enjoy it. But he is such a poser in front of the camera, I thought he might be the right type. Well, the important thing is that he puts on a show for you at home, and he does that very well. But sometime if you go to Honolulu, try to take in a show. They have the best cat products there, and seeing all the cats is really fun. Becky

He is such a handsome boy! I love the pic where he is peeking out from his little kitty cubbyhole.

Such wonderful pictures!!!

He's beautiful and although he isn't top type wise, his color is relatively new(to breed with...) so he would be a stunner in the show ring!

Sam, so if a cat doesn't meet the standard but is in a new color, they can still win at shows? I would think they would make you wait until you got it all right. He is very beautiful. What is his official color? Becky

Is he a shaded silver? He kind of looks like my Crystal and she's a shaded silver.

On his papers, it says he's "shaded silver". But in reality, he's entire body is white except for the top of his tail and a few body parts. The top part of his tail is a light grey color and the bottom is all white. He has a light brown spot right between his shoulder blades and his ears are grey tipped. Umm, he has a dark grey spot on each front paw and a light grey spot on each back paw.

Maybe I'll try a local show if they have any. He doesn't like the vet rides, but he LOVES it when I take him to work with me. He's such a ham and loves all the attention he gets. He loves kitty kisses.

Here are a couple backside photos.
