Excuse the rant session that is about to unfold...

I don't think I'll be ordering from this company any time soon. The rep I spoke to didn't know a damn thing! I asked her if she knew the ingredients of their new dry food for cats (to be released late spring 2005) and she had no clue what I was referring to. I told her there was an little blurb on their website stating the new dry food for cats will debut in late spring of 2005. She tells me "We haven't even considered making dry food for cats". To which I reply, "Then why is it stated on your site? Clearly it's already in production as it's scheduled to debut in a few months.". She tells me "Well, I don't know why it's there but we haven't considered it yet". How can someone work for a company and not know their own products?

Oy!

There is clearly someone there who falls down on the job so to speak...usually my experiences with them have been great in years past, but not so with as it relates to their new line of canned cat foods.

I've yet to have a reply from them as to why their wholesale prices are approx. 20 cents per can MORE than what one of the big dogs retails their food for!

Hence, they haven't got my business!

Interesting, she has always been very helpful with me...

Pat, I was going to tell you.. I don't know how this happened. But something weird is going on with their prices... The small cans used to cost $1.29 where I buy them. Now they are $0.99 and the larger cans are $1.19. I asked if that was a mistake because that's cheaper than they were on the website and they said nope that was the correct prices. I wonder if they have changed the prices for the distributers.

LOL...with my luck, they just had to drop their prices to be competitive with that particular distributor who sells for about 20 cents less than they wholesale the food!
I'll give 'em a buzz, I'm curious to find out if they have dropped their wholesale price!

I am just suprised to see it advertised for so much on their site. The 3.5 ounce can is $1.60 something. Wow, and you would still have to pay shipping. The last time I checked the place I buy it here wasn't even listed on their website under find a store near you. I am glad it's so cheap for me though, so I shouldn't complain. Apparently it's been a big hit here. The owner of the store says he sells cases of it to folks.

The one thing that was in their benefit was that they do provide free shipping on their pet food (there was a note in the lower right corner of the main webpage.

I missed that! That explains why it is so much more expensive then. Shipping really adds up on food.
(Of course you know that better than some of us

I got my variety pack in the mail today (I ordered it BEFORE talking to Kay) and 4 out of the 8 cans were damaged. The had dents that were about an inch and a half wide on the side, as well two dents on the bottom. I refused to feed the dented cans to my cats, because I know the affects of botulisim as learned from my food service course in HS. I asked for either a refund or replacement. No response as of yet...hopefully the do something!

They must give a big break to large distributors. The pet warehouse where I buy it in Anaheim has the 3.2 ounce cans for 89 cents. That is almost half the website price. I don't see anything on their site about dry other than a link that doesn't work. Becky

Just an update...

I received the credit for the damaged cans. However, the boys wouldn't even touch the food. I think it's too soft for them. Some of the flavors had a soup-like consistency and I ended up mixing it with some of their dry food. Not a bunch of happy camper...

Looks like I'll stick with Innova. Miko will just have to deal with it.
