We are in the middle of a SEVERE WINTER storm and it doesn't look like it is going to let up anytime soon. Right now because of the windchill at 12:30 PM it is -35C and by 9 PM tonight it it going to be around -45C.

The snow is making it 10x worse, blowing everywhere, I looked outside a while ago and could not see across the street.
So far today there have been over 25 accidents in and around the city, 2 causing deaths.
Brandon is now at work, 30 minutes out of town and the highway home has been closed, looks like he won't be coming home

I have to be at work in 2 hours and am terrified to go out there, Thank God it's only 5 minutes away.

Can I please have some vibes that this will go away? And especially some that Brandon when/if he comes home is safe the entire way? I'm so worried about him after hearing about all those bad accidents!

Thanks everyone~
Ashley

I wonder whats going on?. I know there was some guy on t.v. the other day talking about global warming again and that if we all didn't do anything it would get worse!

Wonderful!

I hope your weather improves as well and that Brandon gets home safely!

I think Mother Nature is peeved at what we have been doing to the earth and each other and has decided to whoop our butts. No matter what mankind can do to each other, Mother Nature can be much nastier!

I read an article on this subject today. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6814322/

Is something wrong with Mother Earth?
A quest for answers to explain the world's recent volatility

I must admit, all the weird weather from everywhere was making me wonder, 'what is going on?' Apparently, I'm not the only one with that question.

Reminds me of the Christmas special "Year without a Santa Claus" with Heat and Freeze Meiser. Mother Nature sure showed them who was boss!

Ashley - I hope electricity stays on? Do you have alternative heat at all?????

We are having weird weather. 65 degrees here when it's usually 20. Tonight we might have severe storms - I usually don't have to deal with that until April

Thanks everyone!
Brandon is home safe, I just got home, and other than not being able to see half a foot in front of you, and being bitterly cold, we are ok

Chris, I hope it stays on too, we don't have any other heat source, right now I have a giant pile of blankets, flashlights, ect if it does happen. We have decided if the power goes out to pack up the kitties, and go to my Mom's or his parents, one of them should have power if we don't.
Again thanks everyone, hopefully it will be over soon

oh thank goodness. I saw this earlier today and was so busy. Ashley, sheesh! We indeed heard about your storms. I was thinking that you and he might invest in some good camping lights. They work by battery and produce huge light. But I'm just glad to hear he's home and you are safe. Stay warm.

Absolutely, Ashley girl. Sending some your way. Hang in there, be careful, and take your time doing what you need to do.

And sending you some hugs along with those vibes, too.

Best-
Michele
