They are DARLINGS!!!
I know what u mean about a cat being left out. I had that problem with Zebra when I adopted the boys (Spike & Buddy). The boys was from the same litter so they "grew up" with each other. It was interesting to see how their relationship evolved with Zebra because Zebra was a GREAT MOTHER to them and would constantly groom them, keep an eye on them, etc but as the boys grew older they would cuddle with each other and not with Zebra. They wrestle with each other a lot more than with Zebra.
That's one reason why I adopted Pepper. I NEVER INTENDED TO HAVE FOUR CATS!!When I noticed the boys leaving Zebra out, I was concerned but wasn't sure how to address that.
A while later, there was a blizzard on the way and I was worried about a preg stray named Sweetie that I was feeding so I managed to trap her and put in my bedroom. I found a foster "mom" who was willing to foster Sweetie cuz I had no experience with preg cats/newborn kits. The blizzard hit before I could transfer her to her new foster home THEN the morning I went in to get her ready to be moved, PRESTO- I saw 5 NEWBORN kits!! I knew it was too much stress to transfer Sweetie after having kits so I ended up fostering her and 5 kits! (IMAGINE NINE cats/kits in ONE TINY BEDROOM basement apt!?) After kits got a bit weaned from Sweetie (feeding), I started to introduce the kits to my cats so they'd be used to diff cats.
Anyway, I noticed that Zebra would favor Pepperover other kits so I decided to keep Pepper. I managed to find good homes for the other kits and Sweetie, the mom cat. I have NOT REGRETTED adopting Pepper (most of the time! LOL). Zebra and Pepper are BEST FRIENDS while the boys are BEST FRIENDS.. I have been very lucky that all 4 gets along great and RARELY hisses (mostly Pepper would hiss at the boys cuz she tend to be MOODY)...
Funny thing is that many people thought I adopted these cats to MATCH EACH OTHER!?! I didn't intend to have TWO cats of the same color and other TWO cats of the same colors. It just happened that way.

Cooties.... I remember in school the girls and boys would run from eachother and if a boy touched you it meant you had cooties. Unless you got the "cootie shot"
"Circle, circle, dot, dot, now I got my cootie shot"
I can't believe I remember that
Oh Jody, believe me, I"ve thought about getting another boy ALOT! We'll see what the future holds.........the biggest obstacle is convincing Jerry!Originally Posted by JeDuMiHaMama
Great shots, Susie! Hmmm....I'm wondering if perhaps Tiggy could use a playmate of his own??? Just a thought! I have 2 males & 2 females, though I never thought I'd have 4 cats, but you know- I really like the sense of balance it brought to the house... hard to explain, but...
That pic is really cute. It's funny seeing him so small, and them big. What cuties they all are.Originally Posted by kittylover4ever
