I, like many others, met you when you started to explore options for the ferals in your area in early fall. What struck me then, and continues to, is that you are one of the the kindest souls I've met, and considering the crowd out here, that's saying a lot. I remember you helped orchestrate a TNR for 100+ ferals in your area, and when you were unable to go help the TNR efforts due to health concerns, you felt like you were letting someone down!! THAT is amazing. I'm always impressed with someone that can thing of others during their own times of pain and stress- a quality that you seem to have in spades.
You're a gentle touch, Cheryl! You've got a kind heart, and a good sense of humor. You seriously don't give yourself enough credit!

In your posts on the board, I find that you have a wisdom that is born from hardship and from battling personal demons. This tells me that you possess a lot of strength. You seriously underestimate yourself time and again, and you doubt what others think of you and that is sad to me.
I hope you will come to understand that you are just as important and an integral part of this community than anyone else that spends time here.

Cheryl, lest your Day escape without my comment let me get in here now. I've been pondering what I needed to say all day... others have talked of your humour, your gentleness, your deep, deep caring, and it's all true. The other thing I want to mention is that when I first started noticing you on the boards, your passion was coupled with a brittleness, a real vulnerability; now I see a much mellower person, more at ease with herself and the world, but no less passionate -- it's a lovely development. Keep it up.
